Been replaying ff7

So I have been replaying Final Fantasy 7 on the switch. First time I have played since it was released in 97. I loved the game originally and I am surprised how much I am enjoying playing through it again. I don't remember much so it seems fresh to me. I was planning on waiting for the remake until I saw the combat and that killed any interest I had in the game. 

Also the remake takes you up to leaving Midgar which only took me 5 hours to get through. So the story must be completely different. Will be interesting to see how it plays out. Too bad they turned into an action game.

    From what i hear the remake will let you choose what combat you want to play with, traditional FF7 turn based goodness and modern FF15-like combat.

    I have the original PS1 game here, I need to finish up some JRPGs I started first then go back to that ff7 jewel.

    I really hope SE don't screw up the remake.
