Few games over the last several years have arrived with as much anticipation as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. A re-invention. Bringing a franchise back to its roots. What Call of Duty should have been all along. The nail in Battlefield’s coffin. These are big claims, but with a new engine, complete campaign with fan-favorite characters, and re-imagined multiplayer, could the hype be real?
This is our review of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

would this game be on par on batlefield 3 and 4? if so its a huge improvement already, since there is not a good battlefield game since the 4th
FOR HONOR, FOR FREEDOM.... and for some money.

Still think bf do far better job at large conquest maps, small scale is super fun in new MW, gameplay needs some tweaking/balancing but im really enjoying it so far.

I'm very tempted by this game. Not a huge fan of CoD, but I have a few of them. Never been much into the MP, but I like the guns and usually play vs bots. I am a little weary of the larger maps with TDM, and not real happy with Activision at this moment. Gonna hold off for now.

Vault-Tec analysts have concluded that the odds of worldwide nuclear armaggeddon this decade are 17,143,762... to 1.

I've been liking it a lot.

The overall feel of the game still gives off a CoD vibe, but it has changes that really make Multiplayer a lot better than in the past. There is bullet travel time now as opposed to hitscan which you don't really feel unless you are on a bigger map, the weapon mounting is cool especially around corners, being able to half sprint or full sprint is nice, the 64 player maps feel like Battlefield 4 but faster paced which IMO is great, and the weapons actually feel balanced for once (but everyone still just uses the M4).

I like that they said they wouldn't charge for maps in this one also. I'm sure loot boxes will eventually show up but it's nice they aren't in yet.

Performance on me and other friends PC has been odd though. I can run the game max settings with Ray Tracing on at like 100 FPS but will crash randomly if I have any background programs on like discord. I got around this by changing the priority of the CPU (it defaults MW to high for some reason) but still occasionally crash. My friends have had similar experiences. Not sure if it's just a CPU heavy game or what (it's only using like 60% of my GPU) but it is a little annoying.

As of right now no loot boxes and the cash shop just has some 10 dollar pack in it that donates to some cause or something? I couldn't figure out what it actually was.

Good game so far. Ground war needs some extra maps, but much improved from a terrible BO4.

ANOTHER CoD for people to flush away $60 on? Cool...I guess.

How are these rehashes still getting hyped every time?

Ahem, Con: "larger maps can lead to lulls in action", this is not Rainbow 6 Siege, we don't want one kind of shooter we want a variety. That should be the same for all gaming, everything should not be 'arcade'.

It makes me a little sad that you guys reviewed this already. I hope you plan to update your review once the full game is out (The MTX portion) The last game they claimed there would be no loot boxes or P2W MTX. Both were added. This just reminds me of every CoD release in recent years. It releases and does well critically then the MTX come out and ruin the game after the review cycle is over.

This site does do follow up reviews, but not for everything. With the way anything multiplayer  online is now changing to a game as a service, more of those type of reviews would be useful.

It is with great pleasure that I will once again read your review of this beautiful game. I played exclusively in CoD: Modern Warfare when it first came out. In my opinion, this game is just incredible and sensational! But as for me, COD Modern Warfare II is even better than the last part. And Warzone 2, which came out recently, is damn one of the best online shooters I've played. I can't kill almost anyone there because I'm a very weak player, but I bought some mouse macros on this site https://royal-coders.com/product/cod-warzone-2-no-recoil-macro-script/, and now it's much easier for me to play this game.

You have no idea how much I played it 2 years ago.

    Indeed.
