Borderlands is not supposed to have an endgame, it's not designed as a long-term looter-shooter and never has been.  This idea that it should mimic Destiny or The Divison or even Anthem is just plain stupid.

I cancelled my pre-order was offered to buy a copy at Game Stop today, and I told them no because of Denuvo, i'll get the game for free when it gets *******, but I am not paying $50, or even $120 for a collectors edition with the way the game was launched + really awful DRM.

The game does have serious issues, Border Lands 1 was my favorite out of them, BL2 was okay, and BL3 could have been awesome, but I don't understand why Developers have to do this.

So i take it you have never played Borderlands before because your comment is the most insane thing I have ever read. Borderlands has always had an endgame. Even Borderlands one had an endgame even if it was lacking. Borderlands 2 and the pre-sequel def went all in on the end game
No, it has repeatable content on higher difficulties.  That is not the same as Destiny's Strikes, Raids, Crucible, etc.  It's just playing the same story content you played the first time over and over.

Borderlands has raid bosses. And Digistruct Peak was a kind of end game "dungeon" thingy.

Loot is the way that it is because of how loot generation works. The good items aren't created for you to find when you enter a map, they are generated at the exact moment the item drops.

I know, I know.. you could just say that they could increase the chance of higher quality items rolling and reduce the amount of items that drop but that creates another issue. Say, if 7 items dropped from a boss you could get 2 blues, 1 purple, 1 orange and 1 green and 2 whites. If they change it so that 3 items dropped from the same boss you could get 1 blue, 1 purple and 1 orange. You just lost a blue item in that scenario.

Point being, if they reduce the amount of item drops and increase the chance of finding higher quality items, the chance of finding more high quality items 'at the same time' goes waaay down. All those useless drops had a 'chance' of being good.

You'll know what I mean when you pop 3 legendaries and 4 epics out of a boss. It ain't likely to happen, but it could... and that's the point. If that boss only dropped 4 items, you'd never get a lootsplosion that good. And.. lootsplosions like that are just pure fun.

I'm glad the devs understand this, even if most players don't. All you have to do is lose the OCD mindset and just ignore whites and greens after about level 10. It really is that simple.
It has been my understanding that RNG is not really all that random.  Programmers have to actually program in the odds and do so to make it look as random as possible and to conveince players devs have little control.  Like casinos that program random events that gives the house the advantage over time, so do devs program odds in the favor of the players not getting very many rare drops.

Of all the game with RNG in which they say it's possible to have all legendary or all very high end drops even with crazy hours of game play I've never gotten anything like that or have ever heard of a player bragging about getting such drops.  The drops tend to always be mostly trash or average with rare items dropping rarely.  I even remember Anthem having great drops once and the Devs said it was a bug and quickly fixed it.

    Borderlands 3. No contest.

Hell, Borderlands 1 and 2 would come out ahead of FO 76, no contest.
