Holy hell....they were planning for Squadron 42 to be episodic...? So....they are essentially delaying THE FIRST EPISODE by a year.....it only took them about 6 years to give people a 8hr game experience? Sounds awesome! Hell, at this rate, they'll have all episodes out by 2045! And maybe the multiplayer aspect 6 years after that!
So failed delivery is now called staggered delivery? A quick google shows no one else uses this term so they just made it up and think players are going to believe it?

I think the problem is the roadmap is not really the road map. It leaves out that everything stops during conventions unless it's part of the cons presentations. It leaves out off-roadmap surprises which they like to put out and slows the regular roadmap progression. SQ42 and SC roadmaps seem to be more about marketing presentation to support the store then solidifying their builds.

I think delayed is more like a genre. You can go to Steam and buy an RPG, a FPS or a strategy game, or you can look at the crowdfunded MMOs and buy a delayed game.
I remember when people would say the game isn't coming out until 2020 as a joke on how delayed the game is. Guess we should extend that to 2025 or something. 5 years from now, we'll be extending it to 2030 if this is still going (...and if we're still alive by then)
