Everyone plays everything, screwed up marketing research.

The only reliable and true marketing research proves is that "everyone plays everything" if advertised well.

If a consumer purchases a product regardless of it's faults... It's a green flag saying "everything about it is what everyone wants". This false proof stacks higher and strengthens at a geometric rate as advertisement does its job.

The foundation is now set in stone.... Free-to-play and child like game play is here to stay.

Everything is fine and added to the count if you press the "X" button.

This is so much true that if people abandon a game, marketing will now say "people don't like mmorpgs anymore".

"Everyone plays everything" is the culprit in the bad state of mmorpg's are at now.  Marketing researchers don't play mmorpg's they only look at the "X" button.

So here we stand !

My last employment was a factory. We got a new vending service to run the cafeteria...... The food was so bad and cheaply made everyone hated it.

One employee actually walked around the factory telling everyone to boycott the cafeteria on Friday.... EVERYONE agreed..... Guess what happened ?..... Everyone ate at the cafeteria on Friday !

People are people, theirs no stopping anything.

I remember hearing someone says only 15% of the mobile game retain 35% of their player for more than 1 day.  And 94% of the people quit before 1 month.

So in the end you are considering doing well if you can retain 6% of the people trying your game.

It is an article on google, I don't know if it is real or not.  But my experience playing mmorpg.  The vast amount of people quit the game in 1 month.

I know everyone plays everything. Marketing looks at this and says everyone like this look sales 100%.... And that's how marketing works.

    Put it this way,
How can you chart something that doesn't exist ?
    And that's a real mmorpg.

OP, I know you think you're edgy and creating great threads on these boards. At some point you should realise that you're the butt of quite a lot of jokes. They openly mock you and you don't seem to get a clue and think that you're pushing buttons and making headway. They just open your threads for a chance to laugh at you and some do it while falsely praising you. You just lap it all up. I have to wonder what type of real life problems a person has to have to not get a clue as to what is happening and comes back for more.

I feel bad for you when I see what is happening but at some point one has to question your intelligence if you do not see how much abuse you're taking.

You have always said that you think I'm a nice person well as a person whom you think is nice, let me give you some advice, you have a problem if you cannot see what is going on and actually believe your own fantasy about what your threads generate. Try posting on other people's threads and take a break from creating threads as they seem to be on a repeat loop.

Keep a calendar and write down what threads you have created so you avoid posting the same drivel in a short span of time. If you must create a thread write down all the points before writing it so that you cover all the points and not create multiple threads as you think up more ideas. This isn't a race where the more threads you create somehow makes you a star poster, having the ability to address all the points in one thread is a good idea.

Take a step back and evaluate the need and your cry for attention that most of us can see but you seem to be oblivious to. I'm sorry if this comes across as harsh but I think someone should tell you not to believe your own press.

If you find you have some spare time you can perhaps improve your English and may be write better threads so that people are not inclined to make that much fun of you. It's difficult to find fault in a well thought out and articulated post and much less cause for people to take potshots at you. Your spelling mistakes alone once rectified will elevate your threads.

Its an idiotic statement. If people don’t like sports games they won’t start playing them when marketing tells them they are good. Because, here we go, they still won’t like sports games.

As for MMORPGs, they’ve been charted for ages and todays climate is the result. And even then its still a climate with plenty of MMORPGs around, saying there are none is nonsense.

    Thanks for the advice Cheyane,
One quality I like is you don't feed off others fun and your a few steps above all that....Rare quality !..... However you do have a boiling point where you can't take it anymore and explode, but still its a high tolerance level and that's a good quality too.

Being honest I'm not blind, I see all that.
However the state of mmorpg's are a mess to the point their almost gone. You know it, I know it and everyone else can feel it..... There are real answers, but no one will face them.

Most here are "hypocrites", they say one thing in one post and something completely different in another. This site has become simply a play on words site, every thing ANYONE says gets twisted around..... Why is it now like that?...... Nothing to play !

MASS MARKETING destroyed the market all to make games cheaper, and use their power to "tell everyone they like it".

    Why don't I care about self ?

    My time is limited here,

My #1 game is being turned into a personal playground so the head developer can experiment with something that's been fixed for many years, ( graphics and animation) and he is wasting peoples money.  I call things as they are !...... Yes I'll be playing the game three years from now.

Like I say my time is limited here,
Not because of the foolish attitude, but games are drying up and I lost a lot of respect for many.... This goes both ways !

You are one of several I have respect for.

Everyone's a freaking activist these days. Thanks public school system for churning out massive whiner no doers that rage about everything. Here's the deal champ. If you don't like something, you don't have to partake. Not everyone sees everything as you do. Relish in your opinions, but don't foolishly believe that everyone will always agree with them.

There is a large portion of people who play video games that are willing to try everything, but not everyone plays everything. There's also a major difference between players trying something, and retaining a playerbase.

Sadly no, but they are more ACCESSIBLE so more people play them and end up spending money in the cash shop which basically supports what the OP is trying to say.

Its simply a numbers game.  As a business man would you rather sell 1000 things for 30 bucks grossing 30k with a 95% customer satisfaction rating because you actual made an amazing product for your TARGET market and spent allot of time and money doing it.

    OR

Would you rather sell 100,000 things for 2 dollars grossing 200k with an overall customer satisfaction rating of 5 to 10%.  Basically just tossing a product together with some casino hook mechanic.

At this point its all just a numbers game because the market is so HUGE and accessible with F2P games.  And Marketing depts can say everyone loves our games because we make so much money.

The OP is basically correct its just his wording of everyone plays everything is not connecting with people.  I think a better way to put it is, most people will trying anything if its initially free.

I can think laterally enough to find the underlining meanings in this persons posts.  I don't think US English is his fist language and the translation/wording is kind of wonky sometimes.

Sigh, isn't it about time for you to get game hopping again?

EDIT: Basically the millenials and younger generations need the computer to compute everything for them so they can copy and paste into an excel spreadsheet and yell in accomplishment "DONE!"

I'm sure whatever we have in our heads for marketing was from our education years which are aged for the most part.

This is true... I just wrote it on the internet... and everyone knows that if it's on the internet, it must be true!

Look what I did there... I answered an asinine post with an asinine response...  ain't the internet great!

I have to remind you that MMO are , service , not things .
Things are , you buy a game disk and you owned a game.
MMO are ,  you lost everything when server closed down , they are service

That's why you can't use normal game logic again MMORPG

Also i don't understand what you trying to say . I said it's cleanly that f2p and child like game are worth to play than the fake "still early access" B2P and P2P cash grab out there .
Then you said no it not and start to throwing number . I don't see the point here .

No, you're just plain wrong. Every game can get some initial purchases, actually a lot of initial purchases, but there's also significant enough number of people who pay attention to previews, reviews, and their friends so that good games get a lot more people buying them and trying them than bad games.

Companies aren't idiots. They know the power of marketing, but they also know the power of having a good game.
