The pre-event to the last major piece of content Anthem gets before it no longer is supported.

Even if that isn't true, I think that Cataclysms will do the game more harm than good.

Having a temporary event which rewards objectively, statistically better gear than any of the permanent content in the game can only have one result: all non-Cataclysm content will be dead and even those still playing will have no reason to play between Cataclysms.

How can there be a pre-cataclysm event if the entire game is in a state of cataclysm?

I wonder how much of the Austin studio still actively works in anthem.

Indeed, people who purchased Anthem in February after having its horrible gameplay "vip-demo" in front of them - shouldn't trust themselves. I've uninstalled it after couple hours because it was extremely boring. And everyone else also shouldn't trust their opinion as it's pretty clear they cannot differ bad gamplay (Anthem in February) from a good one (Anthem after May).

Nonetheless I got Anthem in May (after patches) and it's good enough for 200 hours (and counting). Not to mention half of my contact list in Origins are getting into rank 10 alliance - meaning they play 30+ hours weekly.

edit: the countdown is a confirmed bug :-( A week later maybe.

Anthem in May, June, and July is 95% the same game as Anthem in February. Cut the crap.

    Since early access its been:

    Pre-Cata Feb
    Pre-Cata Mar
    Pre-Cata Apr
    Pre-Cata May
    Pre-Cata Jun
    Pre-Cata Jul
    Pre-Cata Pre Cata

Is there no end to their unfulfilled and misleading marketing scheme?

Wasn't this supposed to be launching in May this Year? Gosh it really seems like only 2 people on Bioware are holding this Skeleton together.

I for one am looking forward to Cataclysm. It will bring much needed content. Story missions and lore, new weapons, melee weapons and gear, new freeplay events, new enemies and more. Along with bug fixes and optimization, Anthem is on the road to recovery. I have spent 50+ hours on the PTS and I really do like what I see. And the cataclysm is not a limited event. It is a 6 week seasonal event with a leaderboard. After 6 weeks the leaderboard resets they add and remove arenas and new secrets and it continues on.

All with the same broken loot system in place or has that been overhauled?

I'm not an IT Specialist, Game Developer, or Clairvoyant in real life, but like others on here, I play one on the internet.

Luck has been removed from the cataclysm update. All luck inscriptions will be converted into +Max Armor.. On the PTS build, legendary drops have been increased in GM2 and significantly on GM3. We are not sure they will stay the same or not but it is drastically better on GM3. You will also earn crystals (Cataclysm coinage) based on score in the cataclysm, doing daily challenges, from event chests and harvesting crystal nodes in Freeplay. These will be used to buy Warchests that come in 3 types currently: Weapon, Melee Weapon, and Gear. Each Warchest has a masterwork (Power 66) with a chance at legendary (power 80) in them. These will be +5 power score higher than the normal items. You will also get one free warchest per javelin each day by completing 3 arenas in the cataclysm. Loot now has a MUCH better feel.

I apologize for your situation. Certainly, I'd feel burned too. Hell, I do feel burned. Not because I bought a copy, but because I liked what I played and wanted the game to have enough content and purpose to keep playing (which it doesn't).

More than anyone here, I want Anthem to turn things around and succeed, because its gameplay is that good. Its visuals are that good. Its visual customization is that good. It has that much potential.

It isn't my responsibility that their post launch updates have been laughable, but it is my disappointment.

By the way. The pre event appearing on the server right now is a bug. So isn't that just in character for Bioware and Anthem?

actually the names mean something, it means what you can expect, like bethesda wait till modders can fix the game, bioware, they will try to focus on story when all the rest of the game is burning.

and that mean you can wait at least 2 years before you can get to play then if you don't have anything else to play
