Yeah that's nice and all. But the magical "optimization pass" that was used as an excuse during early access for 2 years never did happen.

Not only did they not optimize the game, they had the audacity to release a paid dlc before the game left early access.

Announced spinoffs and other projects. Release a broken pirate game whose hype lasted all of 3 days.

Until this company can prove they can release a finished, polished and working game in a timely manner without relying on steam early access to string people along....steer clear of studio wildcard. That's their M.O. - release barebones framework for an alpha game. It inevitably runs like trash and they string you along through early access with promises of the mythical "optimization pass" that can only happen AFTER they have everyones money.

It's been a while since I've played ARK, but a new map and a new dinosaur is exactly what the doctor ordered. At least until they make a survival game like 7DTD with proceduraly generated maps.

Well, it seems as long as they've had to work on this game, it's still an unoptimized mess. Might explain why Dark and Light is also unoptimized as well as ATLAS. Wildcard might want to think about investing in an employee who can do this for them.
