During today's E3 2019 Nintendo Direct, it was announced that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - The Complete Edition is coming to Nintendo Switch. No release date was given, but it's huge news for RPG fans who want the best on the go. This edition was rumored last week and it turns out to be true.

    'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless. 

    It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.

    It is just huge resource waste....'

    I think it's interesting that, when it was announced, it had so many naysayers. Too large for portable, not powerful enough for console.


    But it does a nice job at both.

    My guess is that they will change things for switch.

    For example, I run Skyrim at top settings on my pc. However, my girlfriend bought me a switch version for the days when she is out and about in the morning and I "just get up and want to play something."

    It doesn't look as good on the Switch but it's acceptable most certainly. Not sure what they did but it runs reasonably well. Some noticeable slowdown when looking at certain things but not really "game breaking."

    Are we getting a dedicated Nintendo E3 thread? Because Nintendo did a really great job this year. Everyone else got one.

    I was going to say this earlier. I missed the first 20 mins and came here to see the summary. I just assumed Suzie wasn't able to sit down and update on the fly like with the others for some reason.

    PC Games Show, The VR Showcase, Kinda Funny Games and Devolver weren't covered here.

    Nintendo has no dedicated thread because most of their games are not germane even to our somewhat loose standards of what's covered here. The two most pertinent are RPGs, Witcher & Zelda, so they're here because of their huge successes. While there are other RPGs, none of the rest compare to those.

    Feel free to make a thread in General Gaming about the rest. :)

    Since Mortal Kombat 11 isn't censored I have a very hard time believing an "innocent" game like W3 will.

    Nintendo has been letting straight up Loli hentai on their e-store for you for like a year or 2. A generation ago they would been aghast at the idea of DOOM on their console. I think "Geralt Bangs Busty Babes III" is going to be just fine. Side note: Pornhub exists.

    Does Nintendo censor games? I know Playstation has been doing it but I haven't heard anything about Nintendo doing so. I mean Doom, Mortal Kombat, and Bayonetta were not censored so why would Witcher 3



    Nintendo used to be the one censoring games many years ago but not anymore. Today it's Sony the one censoring Japanese games that come to the west, but they are OK with western games being visceral and sexy. I hate that.

    Confirmed on Twitter that it'll run at 540p while in handheld mode, and 720p with dynamic resolution enabled while in the dock.

    Pretty bad to be honest.

    I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

    I must say I'm surprised at the Switch working so well for people.  The portable mini console idea seems to be working.

    Switch is the best console since the PS2. It's my go to system most of the time.

    540p on a 6 inch screen is actually not bad at all for an open world 150+ hour rpg game


    They're still to confirm if handheld is dynamic as well. If it is, that's just a upper limit.. it probably wouldn't get to 540p or 720p unless you're in a small interior or something like that. They might have done some magic with the code though, who knows...

     @blueturtle13 Knowing you worked on Hellblade means I will definitely pick it up now. I always had interest, but it was on the backlog. It has been violently thruster to the front :wink:

     @blueturtle13 Knowing you worked on Hellblade means I will definitely pick it up now. I always had interest, but it was on the backlog. It has been violently thruster to the front :wink:
    For all those on the fence, Hellblade is part of the upcoming Humble Bundle. So there is really no excuse not to get it.

    So blueturtle works at Panic Button. That's interesting.

    aw i love that Switch got lots of love, i am also slowly liking the Switch more and more, the controller needs a bit of time to get used to

    also, the only Nintendo console i've ever had was the Nintendo Gameboy Advance back in the days just to play Pokemon.

    But i am glad i picked up Switch and i even rarely use my PS4 anymore.

    So What Now?
