Makes me wonder what Microsoft and Sony will offer? I pay more than $9.99 a month for Xbox gold and their game pass. I think I pay about $21 a month Canadian and I have to buy a new console so I can play 4K and then I need to buy 4K games. Thats allot when you look at the price of just $9.99 USD. I can even use my current controllers.

Really? I mean, you compare "Hangouts , Goggles, Picasa" etc, with Stadia?! Wow, amazing!

I'm waiting for ..mmorpg.com's "critics" to tell us how Stadia will fail because we have no internet speed :D I mean, sorry! The input lag will be big for..different reasons!

Anyway, very good to hear that there is 1 MMO which will be released on Stadia as of now. I'm looking forward to see big battles in MMO's and see how it plays. I really hope Stadia ( and alike services ) will be the end of unplayable lag in big battles in MMORPG's.

I think IP's are too expensive and shitty for this to succeed.

Data caps, overrage fees, lost connections, throttling, whatevs...

    Poor Stadia.

Unless you're lucky enough to live in an area with Fiber?

    Gut Out!

I'm not interested in any rent to play services. Good luck on the project Google.

Unless you own disks, no one owns anything any more. Steam could close down today and all the games bought would be gone.

Also be aware that for 4K Stadia streaming you will use 1 TB of data in about 65 hours.

Thats 2.1 hours of gaming a day... Not including my netflix, cellphone, Twitch, Youtube,NFL .com highlights, Youporn, and Rachel Ray recipes.

One thing I wonder is the Couch Co-Op game. How will that work? How many controllers can you connect to your Chromecast Ultra?

EDIT: Also have will friends coming over to play a couch co-op game, will they need a sub or can they play my copy? Will they have games that you can play split screen like Lego City and will they need a buddy pass to play with me?

The thing that concerns me about this is that almost all of the games listed are 'twitch' games -- joystick or similar controllers required.  My quick peruse showed only BG3 and Football Manager that might not be action / fast reflex games.  Not my style.

Show some more turn-based strategy, CRPGs and similar titles, and I may get interested.

Sony is really dumb, they have an amazing game collection on PSNow! and yet do not allow games to be downloaded, only streamed... ugh

And this Stadia thing is another OUYA, just wait and see.

i'm interested to see what level of adoption rate stadia needs to meet infrastructure costs, and how or if this will impacts the bandwith of existing products like youtube.

    so say we all

$129 to pre-order for temporary access to a handful of games that I don't care about?  Quite apart from having been highly skeptical of the tech, that would be a really underwhelming offer even if I expected it to work flawlessly.

Don't underestimate the allure of a product that actually works right.  Rendering games locally does, and streaming is far more hit and miss.

Although I love the idea, it's way ahead of its time.
If they are serious about gaming, Google should buy Steam and implement Stadia as an alternative to Digital Download.

Slowly the Streaming will take over the Download, but it will take time.
A standalone Streaming service won't work right now, it will take a decade to catch on.

    This is the future.

Google will probably stumble, but they have the resources not to fail. They will compete with the next gen consoles. We will see what happens after that.

Sony and MS might go that route after the next gen, but they will be far behind Google.

So $10 a month, and I get to buy the games on top of that too.

So I have to pay monthly to get to play the games I've already bought?! No thank you.

I don't see that as being better than just buying a system of some kind so that I can play whatever titles I've bought whenever I want with or without being online.

This is a pass for me now that I see their business model. Just no. Plus they're pushing that controller awfully hard. I'm a keyboard+mouse player. No thank you for controller.

The only thing I need to know is that its google - the epitome of evil mega-corporation every movie and book (and tons of games) warned me about growing up.  Now that we finally have overtly evil mega-corps, instead of the push-back I figured liberal minded people would have against their existence, they cheer them on and support and love them.

To the liberals I ask - if you wanted me to love this company why did you indoctrinate me wrong?  I feel like Wimp-Lo from Kung Pow.  I jumped on board hook, line, and sinker ready to fight the good fight and rage against the machine, just to have you et tu brute me like a bunch of confusing jerks.
