When Nocturne for Heroes debuts in Final Fantasy XIV tomorrow, they will be able to take part in an epic FFXIV crossover event with FFXV. The event begins on April 16th and lasts through May 27th and players will have the opportunity to see FFXV protagonist, Noctis, in the game. Perhaps best of all, players can earn the four-passenger Regalia vehicle alongside Noctis's "attire, hairstyle and FFXV themed orchestrion rolls".

Riding/Driving, not so much, too many obstacles. Flying, yes, plenty of space. Besides, people love their rare mounts :P
Try to be excellent to everyone you meet. You never know what someone else has seen or endured.

You mean XIV! ?
"A lore breaking event by another name" I mean... FFXIV is one big fan service game that's drawing from all the other FF titles. And the upcoming raid for the next expansion is based on Nier Automata lol.
The same FF genre? You're kind of losing me with this, especially given what shadowbringers' story is about to delve into story wise, it kind of opens the current game's lore as pandora's box. I'd sooner take issue with the flying elephants/trex/goobbues, before a car tbh.
Game's lore actually includes inter-dimensional travel; FFXI also had it, and Shanttoto used that to Visit Eorzea once before. Same with a few select other characters that had it in the series, including Gilgamesh, which is the same character in all games. He goes to each FF world to search for legendary weapons.
If you're referring to the car as being lore breaking, then that's also incorrect. The game's overall technology level surpasses FFXV's by a wide margin. It's just not open to the common NPC in game or even to player eyes unless they get into the optional content.
Without going into major spoilers, we're talking about trees that are holographic to hide that they're actually super computers form the otherwise fantasy-like public. Races that have mastered cloning and creating super humans. Races that have created technology that is capable of easy inter-dimensional and space travel. Some real type-2 civilization stuff, at the very least. For a point of reference, we, with our cars, are only a type-0 civilization.
To provide more of a visual representation:
Reverse engineering the regalia was a simple matter for Cid in game. I'm told that the flying components are stolen Type-F technology from the Garlean Empire's Magitek supply. Though even the Garlean Empire is smallfry compared to the race they reverse engineered some of their technology from. Even that race reverse engineered their own technology from someone else.
Most people are in the dark about the world's true technology due to spoiler reasons. But it is a part of an experiment, I suppose you could say. But that's pretty much just a side story as the main players plot in the background and don't even mind it.
Though even in 1.0 there was a massive flying battleship that was said to be invincible.
As for Nier, we still don't know what's up. It could very well just someone telling us a story, similar to how the wandering bard tells us about boss fights, and we participate as he does. It's a bit fourth wall breaking, but lore-wise our characters are just listening and imagining what the fight would be like.
