The West doesn't even have a version of Lost Ark for players yet, but rumors are beginning to swirl in Korea that a mobile version of the game may already be in the works. According to media outlets, Smilegate is looking for developers with knowledge of Unreal Engine 4 (the PC version is built on Unreal Engine 3) to fill jobs in animation, scenario and combat animation and client development. Smilegate has waved away the rumors stating this is a "normal recruitment drive".

    Lost Ark is looking increasingly like a lost cause.

    I now place my hopes in Wolcen and Last Epoch to be the ARPGs we deserve.

    Really? PC is a more important platform than mobile when mobile games make more money each year than PC and console combined? Welcome to the future, looks wonderful doesn't it?

    And what's about Pc version? Idea of LA mobile looks cool, but I'm still waiting for some news about publisher.

    Same after waiting so long Ive been looking for something and just bouncing between Grim Dawn, Wolcen and got into the alpha for Torchlight. Seems like a lost cause at this point waiting for this game to arrive.

    By the time Koreans (or any MMORPG dev for that matter) make a full on decent MMORPG without the stereotypical quirks, Stadia, xCloud and Amazon will have full running cloud services with acceptable latency.

    Until then mobile foolery will continue, but it will have a hard death soon.
