Star Citizen roadmap was extended to end of 2014

In Q4 we should get Microtech and salvaging.

Repair is not coming this year, and server meshing is not coming this year.

Overall the roadmap looks like we'll get a lot of small new mechanisms like docking, PvP bounties, swimming, security systems for setting this private, etc. but very little large new things.

    Where is my edit button?

I meant to write the roadmap was extended to the end of 2019, not 2014, and can't edit my previous post.

I’d plan for either Microtech and/or salvaging to be pushed out to 2020 as they fall behind as the focus is on SQ42.

SQ42 roadmap finally sees progress in chapters with 4 of them completed, 2 of them late and 2 on time with 4 chapters to still catch-up on.

The Evocati phase for Alpha 3.5 has started, the initial focus being the new flight model of the game in AC. Patch notes: https://pastebin.com/hDYpMCYV

As the Evocati started with the new flight model that has been getting seems positive feedback, bound to please everyone but it has been simplified. AI is more OP and combat seems to be where the dogfighting playability most improved for this upcoming patch.

Some leaky stuff on digging through game files of stuff not released yet ~~

    Bengal bridge corridor:

    Bengal Hangar:

    Female character model:

    Current Arccorp (not yet implemented)

On last roadmap update relevant bits

DNA Face Customization is completed and now on polish. Playable female characters stand at 92% and the mission giver at 87%.

In locations, the Arccorp planet and its moons are completed and in polish now with the landing zone itself missing at 82%.

AI ship combat improvements, AI Distress Beacons, degradation systems and groups systems improvements being feature-complete and in polish.

Most ships moved to the polish phase, so was the new flight model, projectile and hard shader improvements, as well with the OCS stall fixes on the network front.

3.5 is still in Evocati with an aimed release at the end of this month.

Last roadmap update. Arccorp Landing Zone, Basic Gunship Behavior, Star Marine QoL improvements, System: Heat, AI Bounty Hunting, Vehicle Scanning Improvements, Quantum Travel Improvements, Vehicle scanning improvements, vehicle tech updates, FOIP and VOIP improvements and 2 weapons have entered the polish phase.

As for the DNA facial customization, you can pick multiple faces and then bring elements from each other in to create your character, then you can pick those individual facial elements and do the same with the heads you selected.

"Star Citizen & SQ4 Roadmap (updated March 9th)"

So I guess they eventually had to cut back on SQ42.

  • MaxBaconMaxBacon Member LegendaryPosts: 7,766
    Here is the SQ42 update.

Relevant changes, they have two completed phases for chapters that were due for Q1. Both Chapter 3 and Chapter 10 have been completed for Whitebox Playable, and there are no longer any phase behind schedule as of now.

In other words..."in a few more years." I wonder how long this excuse will work? I guess as long as they have people spending money on pixels that aren't even in the game yet they will keep going. I would keep going if I got money for concepts I guess.

This roadmap and quarter updates speak by themselves, there is no excuse necessary when the progress as it happens is released and playable.
