According to French site ActuGaming.net (via PCGamesN), rumors are beginning to swirl that Lady Gaga will have a part in Cyberpunk 2077. What that means, precisely, remains unknown, but the site's source said that she has been seen at the CD Projekt Red studios, possibly for motion capture work. Additionally, the source reported that the collaboration with the Oscar-winning artist will be confirmed at E3 2019.

    That alone would probably recoup all of the game's expenses and then some. :D If it's true, I think it's fantastic. I think she's an amazing entertainer.

    Some will either see it as a coup (like Ford here) or some will see it as a negative. But regardless it wont stop anyone who wants to play it from playing it or more importantly buying it, but it will more than likely get some people who dont do video games at all interested in some small way. So I guess it is a positive for the game as a whole.

    Sign of the times name recognition and using 'celebs' to sell crap is all the rage again.

    My only wish is that the game is good and lives up to my reasonable expectations. I couldn't really care what famous actor, actress, personality has a part in it.

    Don't really care one way or the other tbh, I will play and enjoy the game or not regardless of which famous person did what for the game...if it's even noticeable in game to boot.

    The issue here is that when a game studio hires some big movie star/singer celebrity like this, they are basically just pissing away money.

    Unless said celebrity volunteers to do it for low pay, you could get much better value out of a professional voice actor for far less money.

    My genuine guess, however, is they'll get her to do some in-game songs for them.  And, maybe they'll give her some small role as some scuzzy NPC singer in some skeevy punk bar or something.

    We've seen several games utilize real songs playing in clubs.  That's what I imagine.

    If she does a good job then she's welcome.

    If i had a say in who isn't fit to do video game characters then Henry Cavill wouldn't be anywhere near Geralt of Rivia, but if he does a good job then that's fine.

    Been in love with her since I first saw her.

    Anything she does I'm for. I hope this is true as I was going to get this title anyway; however, if she's in it somehow I will have to buy it. No question.

    Lady Gaga will do fine. You don't have to be Meryl Streep to be cast in a video game. Just be glad it's not Wil Wheaton and count your blessings.

    Actually the old Cyberpunk RPG motto was, Style over Substance, which I think she fits perfectly.
