don't bother playing it if it's still as unstable as it was the last time we attempted to have a go at it. a few friends and I tried to play and we gave up after over an hour trying to have the game stable enough for all of us.
can't even tell how the gameplay is since we haven't had the opportunity to even actually play past the first few minutes before the game crashed. we tried for one and a half hour and then we all refunded the game.
i liked the first vermintide though ...

really the game runs fine for me. Honestly it felt buttery smooth at launch and felt like one of hte best optimized launches for a game like this in a long time. I can recommend it at the regular 30$ price tag and at 60% off it's a steal.

Hm.. I would say you should just find new sources then, cause this game is really fun! ;)

Granted, I have always played with friends so we did not have (non)communication issues and we could all coordinate well and progress and get better every run. This game is all about the group and playing together. (Ok, one "superhero" could come by now and then if you play with PuGs, but generally, you need to play as a team and communicate to overcome the highest difficulty level.)

It ended up as one of the game we played the most this year (for myself, it fell just a few hours short of monster hunter, which, while not the same genre, shares some similarities in how player skills and game knowledge is as (probably more) important as the gear you loot, and how every run you do, victory or success, is a chance to learn and make you a better player).

If you liked the Left 4 Dead series (just the pve part since there is no PvP in V2), with a visceral 1st person melee combat experience, I would recommend you give this game a try!

(Just remember that failure is part of the game as I've said and an opportunity to think back on what happened and how it could have been prevented/addressed and you should be fine. I've seen many "recruit" get discouraged cause they could not finish the 1st few runs they tried solo (with bots) and dismiss this game as "bad", but if you give yourself a chance to learn how to better block/dodge, spot/dispatch specials before they hit you, and use your forces to overcome your weaknesses, etc. you may be in for one of the most rewarding experience you've had in a long while! )

That's not what I meant. A lot of sources showing the game has serious issues which may strike you at random.

Bugs, glitches and now quite common bans because the anti cheat is famously bad. And the complain is quite popular which throws away the "the person was obviously cheating" repply. There are people being banned from the game without even completing the tutorial.

I played (and loved) Vermintide 1. But the second seems to inherit the issues from the first, creating new ones along the way.

    Gotcha!
From your comment, I assumed you just had never actually played any Vermintide... sorry!

In 300+ hrs of game time in V2, nobody I play with regularly (6-7 guys) has ever stumbled on any such game breaking issues as being banned for nothing or being unable to play the game because of disconnects or crashes.

Bugs/glitches? Sure (that's a given in this hobby of ours is'nt it?), but nothing game breaking.

    Might just be luck..

Anyways.. it's free this weekend, there is not much to lose trying it.

The game is stable, but the last patch is a little buggy and new event level "A Quiet Drink" still crashing.

Quality game, 140 hours played and I think in all that time I experienced one glitch where a mob couldn't be killed. It's a large game but then there's a lot in it, the levels are big and the gfx are good.

There's always gonna be bug reports, devs can't account for all the shit on peoples computers, I've got mates who haven't formatted their machines in 5+ years and are full of crap and other mates who have never cleaned out cases then proceeded to pull a rugs worth of dust out there when they finally do.

I'm not saying all bugs are caused by this but lets be honest there are a lot of people, who, when it comes to computers are completely oblivious to even the most basic maintenance.

I couldn't find a free space on my HDD. Why this game needs so much free space?

If I had listened to all the people crying about the game, I wouldn't have had all the fun I've had since I started playing. Over 100 hours in and I still enjoy it. It does have issues, but most of what I have read in the reviews is crybaby-talk. Some people can't seem to do anything but complain.

I gave it a go this weekend and then I bought it. It's deep enough for long sessions and good for a quicky too (that's what she said).

I'm not trying to shit on anyone's parade who likes this game, but I genuinely don't see what other people see in this game.

It's one of the most repetitive things I've ever played.  Honestly, after 60 hours I was bored to tears with the maps and the combat and couldn't be bothered to log in anymore.

For 60 hours at the $15 or so I paid for it, I'd say that's not a bad deal.  I've paid way more for far less fun, so I'm not in any way mad or disappointed, but it didn't have any longevity for me.

Heh, well, people are still playing bland 20 year old games like CounterStrike, etc., so repetitive doesn't seem to bother a lot of people at all.

It never ceases to amaze me how long people will keep playing the same thing.  I can't (not that I want to) devote myself to these games the way some people do.

Awesome game, very cool event.  Can't wait for the winds of magic expansion!
