I have not played PC online for 3-4 years.  I’m getting a new computer and looking for something new or games I’ve played if they still have a good population.  I have always liked games with crafting and gather/fishing.  As well as solo and group questing.  I’ve always liked WOW, SWTOR, GW2, and Rift.  Are any of those games still good, especially because I would want to start over with them?  Or are there other games you would recommend?

    WoW, GW2, ESO, and FFXIV.

That's all I personally can recommend right now that involves any type of purchase.

In terms of mmorpgs of course.

I know Rift is FTP and still decent.  I played it and enjoyed.  The problem I had was that grouping for dungeon/instances was hard at lower levels, and that is what I like the most.  I you don't mind the solo game I think it might be a good choice.

“It's unwise to pay too much, but it's worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, you lose a little money - that's all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot - it can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.”

ESO is great. You can make your character to play exactly the way you want to play.

Guild Wars 2, SWTOR, Final Fantasy 14, or Secret World Legends.  These are the ones I come back to and play the most frequently.
