Talking about Anthem sales targets in their earnings presentation EA said that (to the end of their fiscal year i.e. March) "We model Anthem units in the 5 million to 6 million unit range". Which strikes me as very cautious.

And for the year ahead: "We have modest expectations for Battlefield and Anthem live services given that they are not yet proven."

Presumably its tough living in a Fortnite world since they expect (revenue from) "Anthem (to be) offset by broad-based weaknesses".

Next week we have Activision Blizzard results ........

Given the precipitous nosedive for all gaming stocks after this week's earnings reports, and given the huge missteps by both Activision and Blizzard in the final quarter of the year, ATVI could be a bloodbath on Tuesday for them and everyone else in the same sector.

If all you care about is the performance, why don't you just read the impressions that will be posted by others.

My brother and had a unique issue that i think i saw a few people also have. Where the screen would shake uncontrollably. Not everyone had that same problem. How does he know if the problem is fixed without spending money? Its not like every reviewer had that same issue, and finding out who did have that wouldnt be easy.

Based on the demo weekends I played of both, I'm comfortable with my $60 laid down on Tje Division 2 preorder.

I truly hope, for Bioware's sake, that they've done an incredibly job with the storytelling..  but considering the dialogue options are pretty much different flavors of the same exact response, my head is skeptical it will do enough to make this title stand out or change my mind on where I'm currently spending my money.

Good luck to them all the same!

I had the same problem on my demo weekends. Hope they fix it...

There was a time, pre-ME3, where I bought every BW titled sight-unseen pre-order. Then BW gave the big FU to all ME gamers everywhere--not only with their ending, but with their over-the-top condescension regarding complaints against it. Stated on their boards then that I'd never buy another game they released.

    And still haven't.

    BW/EA, rot.

Game was no where near ready at the time of the demo. I'm sure they won't push back release and they'll just release it in the garbage state it's in and it'll flop just like fallout 76.

Game was not the finished build for Demo. Poor criticism on your part. The demo stress tested the servers, that's a good thing. There are no perfect game release in today's world. Even the champion Witcher 3 had bugs at release, and graphical downgrade.

And after playing the Division 2 beta, I comfortably put in for a refund on my preorder of Division 2. I am now looking more forward to Anthem than Division 2.

I quite enjoyed my time in the demo. There are so many people on these boards such a hate on for EA, they wouldn't know a good game if it bit them. As long as it says EA it has to be shit right?

And that is the fault of all of us for always accepting half assed releases.  Makes you wonder how they ever made a game prior to the online environment to deliver launch day patches.  The people who accept these things is the problem.

Yeah? And what are you going to do about it? Bring on the rapture?

Good on you!  Support whichever title you like.  I felt the Division 2 bets was much more polished than my time with Anthem, and the time put in on the PC version was much more apparent in Division 2.  But, they also had a previous title with the same general mechanics to work with.

Well i get around, there is like ZERO hype for Anthem, the majority seem to be more  interested in the Division 2.

I do not think either game is very good but unless people just feel generous and find out D2 is not that good and  head over to spend again on Anthem,i feel it is not going to do that well. Now of course one of their marketing partners will post amazing numbers but imo won't be legit,i can just feel the vibes are very much so in favor of The Division and not Anthem.

Actually on YouTube Anthem and D2 videos have been the first two things listed for me to view for about a week now.  The Streamers are pointing out all the positive aspects of Anthem and the D2 Streamers are like 50/50 about the game.  EA appears to be working hard to keep a positive spin on the game in the streams and on the forums.

Hyped is not something I get anymore except for rare occasions. I can say I'm hyped for one game currently and that is The last of us 2. Best of luck to both Anthem and The Division 2.

I say if anyone really want to play the game wait the very least the launch date and don't pre order, hell if anything they will need 3 months jut to fix some issues, and letting EA take a hit on they reports will be a nice wake up for then, and remember everytime they hyped a game things did go south pretty fast

First of all, neither TD2 nor Anthem aren't open-world so their experience in the starting month isn't a lot better than one-two months post-launch (you won't see hundred of players waiting for respawn of a quest mob). In fact it's going to improve over time.

And it turned out TD2 isn't an improved version of TD1 - it's just different (why did they decrease quality of animations?!) So I practically have to play/buy Anthem. However paying $60 for an unfinished Warframe (or Diablo) clone with only 4 classes and $10-20-40-whatever skins isn't optimal: besides possible bugs and quick burnout due to the lack of content (i.e. "frames" to level up) and considering in-game shop + falling EA stocks they must be planning to start major sales and bonuses asap. Also I want to see if they are going to add new sentinels and if they will be as predictable as the four basic classes (rogue, ranger, mage, tank) or there will be anything even remotely original like Frost, Ember, Saryn, Mirage in Warframe?

So I'll just sit and wait couple months before buying anything - while happily playing dailies in TD1 and upcoming NG+ in AC Odyssey. Or Diablo3, Waframe, BDO, Star Conflict, For Honor, GR Wildlands etc. etc. etc.

    Thank you for your time!

If you believe they had some great polished product that fixed the server issues, tons of graphic issues (especially at 4k) bugged quests and dungeon triggers, and loading issues waiting in the wings while people tested their bugged demo I've got oceanfront Arizona property to sell you.
