The launch of the second part of the Tides of Vengeance update to World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth is just around the corner (January 22nd in NA) and the dev team has put out its traditional "survival guide" for fans. The video provides a quick peek at the biggest changes coming to the game with the patch including the new Dazar'alor raid, the newly reworked Azerite armor, PvP Season 2, Mythic+ Dungeon Season 2, updated rewards and more.

    Looking forward to see if much has changed in this upcoming update. 8.1 initially didnt have jack shit and it was hyped to be such a huge update! LIttle did we know it was pathetic. Hope this adds more.... though from the looks of it, it's just an item lvl bump in gear. We'll see!

    I don't really get the massive increase in ilvl gear drops from normal, heroic and regular mythic dungeons... this devalues all the effort that people have put before that, but I guess at the moment they can't bother with "saving face" in the current situation WoW is. I guess they are trying to give out gear, so that people will start playing... and I think that it will have positive effect. I'm tempted to start playing casually as well since I'll be able to gear up in a day pretty much... but then again LoL's new season starts at the same day the patch will go live for EU so... I'll probably skip :D

    remember the day's when we used to have goals ? when achievements were not a tab but actual things that you just remembered because you felt good about it? when the game wasn't just a weekly reset.

    My sub is up in 7 days and I haven't logged in in two weeks. Watching this, reading about it is just uninspiring. While there are shinies that are sorta cool, in the end -- and in far too short a time -- it all goes right back to everything that's bored me up to now in BfA.

    Know what's funny? I can get that "WoW experience" by keeping up with changes to the game and lore on WoWHead, MMO-Champion or even the forums. I don't "need" the game at all.

    I think I'm done with WoW and may very well be for good this time but at least to the next expansion for sure.

    Your in the same position I found myself in last year where I supported and enjoyed the game for 10+ years but felt uninspired and not excited with direction things are going in.

    In my case it was all the little changes that individually didn't make me leave however cumulatively they became a problem.

    I let my sub laspe last week and don't plan on coming back until 8.2 drops and I'm not even sure about then. I came back to 8.1 for the story only. Crafting is a bigger joke now than it has ever been, I have zero interest in raiding (raided 5 times in 10 yrs), and I have no interest in doing in dungeon above heroic. I maxed all the new reps with BFA during the first patch so there is no reason to stick around.

    I have gotten about 90 min total new story with 8.1. I know more will open when the new raid releases, but the drip feeding isn't working for me.

    I miss the days of the full expansions releasing at one time and not in “seasons”. It seems like a minor thing; like doing dailies for rep instead of just accumulating it at my own leisure. It really isnt that big of a deal, but I just can’t help feeling disrespected as a player. I simply do not enjoy being told how to play a game. It’s a game. Give me all the pieces and let me play it.
