Epic Games confirms that Fortnite will get another map

LowellsandersLowellsanders Member UncommonPosts: 134
Many "Fortnite Battle Royale" players have expressed a desire for another in-game map. The current map has been in the game since September 2017, and that is why players want something different. To be fair to Epic Games, they have drastically changed it  throughout this period. However, players would like something new and different, and it seems that they will get it.

The "Fortnite Battle Royale" developer has announced that a new map would eventually be added to the popular video game. There is no doubt that this change would make "Fortnite" even more popular, especially if the developer decides to add unique elements to the new map.

New Fortnite map

Epic Games have made numerous changes to the first and only "Fortnite Battle Royale" map. The island looks nothing like the island from a few months ago as the game developers have drastically changed it. However, many players would like Epic Games to release a whole new map. The map with a completely different design, unique features, and maybe even a much bigger map.

Epic games should put 2 maps in the game, such as the OG map and the new map. like PubG has 2 maps so why can’t Fortnite?

With all the money they made and keep making with this game alone, they should have several game modes, several maps, new types of weapons, and a bunch of new features.

Yeah, but sometimes you can blemish what's good about something if you over do it.

Except... this usually backfires. The more changes are made, the more chances you have to just make the playerbase feel like they can't keep up anymore and people - leave.

Obviously they've grown to 120million players with a single map that they've kept changing every season - making the entire playerbase experience every change together.

There's a feeling of everyone in it together - that's the magic.

I think that as soon as they start adding a ton of new stuff - they will start to lose players.
I think if they'd do what LoL does, players would like it. One main map for progress, and some others for fun.

Problem is that with the building stairs concept ,it makes a mockery of an artists hard work making a map. What is even the point of any map if you just going to abuse the mechanics to make you own map anyhow.
I feel the stairs idea is really bad for serious pvp mapping and yes the players take this game serious.

Actually I watched some videos and they simply build stairs to reach the top and bypass the navigation required through the building structure which is an odd choice.

Apparently $3 billion in earnings isn't leaving much room for new map development.

Probably diverting too many resources to the old PVE version.

    Yeah...right....

Because PUBG is a mess of a game, that runs terribly compared to Fortnite, and a lot of that has got to do with putting a lot of work into the map, and not just throwing it together like PUBG corp does.

    What backfires.

The only games that have survived decades of time, are games that constantly change.

The constant changes in Fortnite, where every 2 weeks the game has something different or new going on, is the reason its the biggest game on the planet.

aka, your understanding of all of this, is wrong.

Where is the love for Fortnite Save the World? These clowns are making billions and they spend it on this lame wall spamming crapfest?

That's what he's saying. Adding in new maps could backfire because then you're splitting up the player base. Keeping on map with constant changes you get the new experiences on a regular basis and everyone is together experiencing all of those at the same time.
