On Thursday, January 10th, a pair of Blizzard developers will be on hand for the next World of Warcraft live stream event. This time, viewers will be treated to a stream event squarely focused on the story and lore in Battle for Azeroth. Cinematic Project Director Terran Gregory and Senior Game Designer Steve Danuser will be on hand in the WoW Twitch channel starting at 11:00 am Pacific / 2:00 pm Eastern.

    WoW lore has always been abused and retconned. The story of wow now is on par with tumblr fan fiction (minus the porn).

    At this point it would be easier to make wow 2 and start from scratch.

    Honestly I'm praying for a new expansion. I don't think that this one can be salvaged. From the 200+ bugs I've encountered the majority are still there and honestly that's not really an issue for me, but the fact that they can't spare time to fix so many bugs shows that there are other things that are even worst.

    I've pretty much stopped playing since Blizzcon. Doing the Darkmoon Faire atm, but other than that... I can't bring myself to do anything.

    World PvP is actually fun, BUT the major difference in population makes it really not fun... As an Alliance player my experience with Warmode is that when it's just 1 or 2 hordes they don't attack me and if they are 10+ I get blasted with all their CD as if I stand a chance of running away... Today I got jumped by 12 hordes and I saw 1 guy popping heroism.

    As I've said there are some really great ideas, but literally not a single that was delivered properly.

    I just hope that in the next expansion they will remove all the AP grind that they've been pushing these last 2 expansions...
    During Legion I had all my chars at max level, but I played only 2...
    Now in BfA since I know what's it like I haven't even bothered to level other chars, but just the 2 I play...
    In WoD I had all the classes leveled and I played all of them, because that was an option back then... I want them to bring that back.

    Left wow after a decade cause all of acti-blizz bad decisions for ffxiv. Enjoying the game infinitely more after 2 months and have no desire to ever play wow again.

    Well , at least now we know that they were dead serious about mobile games. They said some of the best are working on the upcoming mobile titles, which pretty much sums up that BfA WoW Team has been left with .. "decent" dev's since 2 years ago and maybe, they are also .. short of ..manpower ?!

    I wonder if it will be conveyed IN the game or just two guys talking about Lore but we don't see much of it in game.
    For myself Lore and immersion don't have to be incredibly AMAZING,so much that it feels like god himself wrote the script.

    All i need to see is if the entire world and ideas fit together.Now just thinking about it gets me a bit miffed because i could go on and on about what is NOT done in our rpg's to bring us the Lore and immersion.

    Typical "Ok here we have the orcs,they are a brave powerful race that doesn't get along with any other races."This is just an example of what i usually here when devs try to tell me about Lore and immersive gaming.
    "TELLING me"is NOT showing me IN GAME.

    The best way i can convey the difference between REAL in game stuff and crap is think perhaps Yuna in FFX,her passion and love for all of Spira,that message is conveyed throughout the game IN the game,nobody has to tell us.Point being,don't write me an essay of what the world is unless you can show me,devs are SUPPOSE to put all of that lore..passion into the game and not on a piece of paper.

    Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

    What they need to do is make a new trailer with Thrall waking up in a cold sweat from a bad dream.

    What they need to do is feel a bit bad for taking liberties with the lore and their fanbase and get back to making a good mmo again. If they can't do that it's going to be a bumpy ride.
    Here's to hoping that the success of Classic will steer them in the right direction.

    I can’t help but feel the last three expansions have been poster-boarded years ahead of time and just set to coast, especially concerning story and lore, like a train without brakes.

    Vault-Tec analysts have concluded that the odds of worldwide nuclear armaggeddon this decade are 17,143,762... to 1.

    Which gives the game away, there is no story team, it is just made up by the guys at the top. Blizzard have talked about a story team before but I have never been able to find one person in it. If your career is in game graphics that does not make you a good writer.

    They stopped giving a fuk about the lore since The Burning Crusade. You got Alzheimer's or some shit?

    Even Suzie agrees and I don't know of a more die hard fan in gaming media. It is not like they can't turn it around, more will they? With the framework of how they are making new content decisions and tacking the lore on I am not sure they can.
