really wanted to have cool castle/town/settlement siege like this with more depth like this on the video but instead of singleplayer game prefer it to be real player castle that get sieged or other players can siege yours in mmo/multiplayer
Lineage 2 has castle sieges but I doubt it has the depth you are looking for. Planetside 2 you can build bases and assault player made bases as well as NPC bases. Other than that, no idea. Sorry, I am not much help.
If you want a new idea, go read an old book.
In order to be insulted, I must first value your opinion.
no mount and blade dont have population + it not real siege just using siege engine ladder to get inside the castle to kill the enemies but i want something more persistent and better
well you want the night raid in the castle? or the whole siege effect? I think the closer you can hope for would be lineage 2, not only you had to deal with players but also with several npcs they could hire, now for siege engines and the whole thing, ESo and gw2 are the ones who come to my mind, also the smaler scale castles, lineage 2 dwarf artisan could use a siege robot,
only game I know who had a permanent castle, who you could build with your guild and alliance, who could be under siege at any time of the day and it could take days to destroy a castle during a siege was shadowbane
i want something like the siege effect but lineage i cant even see if who is saying whole screen is sparkling with magic particles and impossible to take it serious
no mount and blade dont have population + it not real siege just using siege engine ladder to get inside the castle to kill the enemies but i want something more persistent and better
oops I meant Bannerlord
So yeah, not the population but looks like an amazing "siege time."

lol it still same it dont have real siege and in multiplayer it just capture the flag like death match those who capture it wins but i want something better + this game is taking years to even release so i would be playing camelot unchained before it even releases

How is this not a real siege? In game terms that is.
Even Lineage 2 sieges were a "capture the flag" sort of deal.
Can you be more specific as to what you are actually looking for? I sort of think it doesn't exist.

No such game exists outside of L2 and some others you already know of and have previously dismissed.
Crowfall, Camelot Unchained and maybe Ashes of Creation are your best bets, but when they'll actually launch is still very much in question, quite likely not until late 2019 or 2020 even.

Oh yeah, there's a new DAOC freeshard which has some significant quality of life improvements coming out of beta and launching in January, should be good for 3 to 6 months of sieging fun.

ESO is probably better in terms of feeling like a siege. You have people setting up war machines, fighting over resources, fighting over key locations around the castle. It very much felt like a siege to me. This is 2 years ago.
GW2 is very similar, but more arcadey. I also felt like GW2 often devolved into running with as many people as possible at a gate. ESO felt less so.
@Sovrath i mean more than that like capturing flag is not real siege the real siege is when we kill all the enemies and destroying all their buildings , plunder and raze it
@kyleran lol yes and yes they taking very long time for release and alright i will look into new daoc
@laxie sieging in ESO is more like just capturing 1-3 pre generated castles which gives us perks instead of real territory wars and same with GW2 owing territory is no advantage + it reset every week
@Caffynated i heard in gloria victis the combat is just spam a button and no challenge just gets boring also you cant hold anything you captured like you will capture a castle and within few hours you will come online and found already 2-3 different people captured it and then you will capture it again and go offline and it same repeat and for honor is just singleplayer game with arena multiplayer event nothing similar to the suggestion and conan exile i already playing it and its like you found a server with 50 players and 1 week later it goes to 37 players and 2 weeks later 22 and keep going low till it wipe
well shadowbane age of conan(not conan exile survival game) daoc all of these 3 used to be perfect only reason people stopped playing cause its too old now we looking for something new
Stopped playing? Last time I've checked AoC is still decently crowded... just not for pvp (and with it the sieges). It had potential, nicely implemented into the crafting system, looked amazing on the promo video https://youtu.be/Gzxg2Srb3hY .... except the servers often crashed at larger sieges, not to mention it took a lot of effort and time and materials to build a city - just for a pvp idiot guild could break it down later, for the lolz.
On the PvE side AoC is still played, even with the maintenance mode and with Funcom's focus on Exiles.

Funny you mentioned that in the first post because that game came right to my mind.L2 was awful,iTHINK he is looking for DEPTH,something more real than attacking each other on the front lawn of a castle wall. There are sooooooo many reasons why this genre does NOT work. These games and pretty much ALL games now a days are made with grinding gimmicks to keep players around and interested to spend in the cash shops. These grinding ideas ALWAYS mean unbalanced gameplay which is terrible for anything pvp. That can mean unbalanced levels or weapons or armor or mounts ,anything can unbalance the gameplay.
My opinion is that this type of design, needs to ALWAYS be single player OR CO-op,like maybe all the real players work together to save the castle from various NPC sieges and yes there is a LOT you can do with that type of design and i mean a LOT.
So because pvp NEEDS to be balanced,it restricts all the good things you could do with a game like this. You can never alienate one player from the other, that is why these games fail, every player has to feel an equal both in battle and importance to the game.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

Dark Age of Camelot allowed you to raze the castles? First I'm hearing of that. Is that true?
I should add, was the Age of Conan siege in the actual world and what benefits were there to sieging?
I should add, beign able to destroy all buildings or raze the castle isn't necessarily depth. It's "breadth."
Being able to capitalize on the destruction of your enemy, or take over the lands and thus have the benefits of owning land or being able to acquire resources because of the siege is the start to depth.

@sovarth not sure some people said it but in shadow bane we can do it for sure and yes i agree owing land gives resources or other benefit is nice but also damage is nice too and yes guild wars 2 lack it and ESO too
@Jean-Luc_Picard i already got suggested from someone of ESO and i said this

then only shadowbane fits the bill, with is closed last time I saw it for years, so no hope for him

Then that's the thing, if in Dark Age of Camelot you can't take down castles (I really don't think you can) that just leaves Shadowbane and Age of Conan to a lesser extent.
So you are pretty much looking for a game similar to Shadowbane. "none that I know if"
Camelot Unchained, if it releases, might scratch that itch.
