I liked the food items in EQ1 because you actually needed it to live (or live healthy). Some Batwing Cruchies for auld lang syne?

I know it's not an MMO but Battle Chef Brigade was awesome... I love that game, and it did food reallllllyyyy well.

Overcooked is one of the coolest game "experiences" I've had revolving around food.

However much you cook.  Or grow.  Or fish.  Or pick.  Or whatever else there was.

Haven and Hearth has more thought just put just into cheese making than some games to their entire crafting tree: http://ringofbrodgar.com/wiki/Cheese ...  other "food" trees are a little simpler, but can have more steps even if they're easier.  Food is also fundamental for increasing characteristics.

Boundless has food that offers benefits for 30 minutes.   The initial thought is pretty lame, until you look at the benefits it provides compared skill points required for the same benefit (which stack with each other).   Usually something like 2.5 levels worth of skill points for most effects, to 4 levels worth of skill points for the stat effects, and 5 for defensive effects.

Practice doesn't make perfect, practice makes permanent.
