Nevertheless, Stan Lee’s legacy will continue because there’s no denying that the energy of his enthusiasm was there when the Marvel Universe was reborn. His infectious enthusiasm and endless energy reconfigured the comics medium into a new idiom, one that spread further and touched more lives than even his hyperbolic self could ever imagine.

    The worst part is how his daughter and some other ne'er-do-wells have been trying to swindle him outta his estate for the past few years.

    The guy was who he was, and who he was didn't deserve that kind of treatment in his old age.

    My 16 year old is actually quite upset.

    I think that for a 95 year old to have an effect on a 16 year old he never met says an awful lot.

    I'll just leave it at that.

    'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless. 

    It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.

    It is just huge resource waste....'

    I am reminded of the reported last words of Alexandre Dumas, who when asked his feelings about death responded "I shall tell her a story and she will be kind to me." I know somewhere Stan is telling a story and getting good treatment.

    He'll be missed. I met him when I was a kid at a convention unintentionally. Was opening a X-Men trading card pack, got a hologram Wolverine but it was missing the backside (manufacturing error), heard "hey kid can I see that?" - was Stan Lee, he took a look and told me "hang onto that, will probably be worth something" then he signed my book and went our separate ways.

    Awesome dude and glad he brought us Marvel, was the epitome on my childhood.

    The man lived a long, rich life, and saw his passion rewarded, celebrated, and brought to life on a scale he never could have imagined. No artist could have ask for more. So long Stan, and thanks for all the fish.

    Thanks for the characters and stories that got me through my younger years.  Spiderman and the Avengers kept me grateful and sane during troubled times.  What a visionary!

    There is not a single fan who couldn't find someone in Stan's vast arsenal of flawed heroes to relate to when they needed to and to encourage them when everything seemed wrong in the world. He changed and inspired generations of readers and movie-goers.

    Thank you for my childhood, my teens and my adult years. I am so grateful that I never outgrew you, Mr. Lee.

    Never a fan of U.S. comics, didn't read them as a kid, got U.K. comics in the mail from an Aunt. Read novels, particularly 'golden age' Sci-fi. For me "The Avengers" will always be the U.K. TV series with Steed and Emma Peel. Not a big fan of the movies either, although I did like the X-Men.

    Even so Stan Lee always seemed a wonderful man full of wit, humour, imagination, and great talent. I am sure that he will be sadly missed.
