Even a great MMORPG like Lotro is going to marred by that sort of money raking.
mmorpg junkie since 1999
Start launcher > log in > select server (at this point the queue will show) .
Perform the following every 2-5 minutes.
CLICK on the "EN" button > select server.
If done correctly your queue number will go down and you will be ingame in no time
There is an issue with the queue and this has been the most efficient way to get through the queue.

I also discovered that grouping for deeds makes them go 100x faster. Made it to Bree on one of my characters yesterdat. Might bring another one there tonight. Then I'll start to advance another one, because I can't for the life of me decide which class/race to play first.
I'm still leveling a Magicka Sorc in ESO to try the PvP again, otherwise I'd be jumping in to check this one out. May still give it a go if I get burnt out on ESO!
EDIT- struggling posting from my phone this morning.
I'm not too focused on deeds right now just clearly out as many quest as I can before moving to the next area.
It's been great time so far. One of the best experiences so far was at One of the npc quest where you had to find (cant remember her name) in a bandit camp I get there and I was the six person in line. No joke an orderly line waiting for an npc to spawn. I say in chat there six let's group up. They all agreed and we spent the next 2 hours playing together it was a blast.
Aloha Mr Hand !
The one ****ing thing they decide to keep going is the festering cancer of MMOs that made me want to quit in the first place back in SoM.
Guess I shouldve expected this. Not sure if Turbine were the first to do it but they were definitely one of the first to show/gloat of the possible profits they made and how they practically saved the game with it in DDO. Which IMO snowballed into the bloated garbage trash heap the genre has become since then.
It was when left the game after it went F2P. I just came back to it to try out one of the legendary servers and found the community pretty toxic compared to what I remember it being when I left. Enjoying the game. The community, not so much.
I'm not an IT Specialist, Game Developer, or Clairvoyant in real life, but like others on here, I play one on the internet.
Just for discussion purposes.
$15/month helps keep the community great
In 4 days I have 24 hours in and have not spent a cent in the shop.
Four days into my $15 I'm already at less than $1/hr of entertainment. Where else can you get that ROI in entertainment in 2018 going on 2019?
But yeah grrrrrrr cash shop...
Ummm....they're free just for logging in that day. Yes you can buy more if you want, but no need.
What I like is how every time you get group everywhere, which I totally miss in the past, when leveling new alt.
Having group in Great Barrow or even when Weathertop doing in fellowship version was nice.
Cant wait for Agamaur quest chain or Trollshaws fellowship quest.. even for Dol Dinen I cannot wait... damn I like it totally now.
Bringing little back old memories, but under "new" engine...
I love -40% exp gain, need to done nearly every quest in the sight.
Some people use shield of hammerhand or Mordor expansion jewerly reward, but I think they miss so much, they trying rush the content and farm Rift/Carn Dum, but when they miss are this low level things which make SoA great.
Gut Out!
What, me worry?
Oh cool, didnt know that.
Point still stands. Not only can I spend $15 on anything else, Cash shop is shit no matter where its at, that goes triple when paying a monthly fee for access. Its a cheap, 4th wall shattering feature that is constantly in your face in a genre thats supposed to immerse and encourage exploration and finding hidden treasures through gameplay, not a pop-up store front. Not to mention full price for a serivce that isnt being developed or upgraded anymore, just maintained. with the rest of the profits going straight to their pockets or right back into the cash shop.
So yeah, not only is it "grrrrrrr cash shop" ... but also "f**k cash shops" and anyone perpetuating their further implementation by excusing them with subjective 'its great ROI in 2018.' Even if you were right, the keyword is "in 2018"! Thats exactly why that last sentence you quoted is there.
Assuming its an old Turbine one if you can remember any details first try: https://myaccount.turbine.com/index.php (Yes I know it says Turbine in the link!)
And if not account support is at: https://help.standingstonegames.com/...s/requests/new
There are posts about people who have recovered their accounts - depending presumably on supplying enough details.
1) You didnt even know who the Developer is
2) You dont need to use the cash shop and the statement was "in 2018 going on 2019".
3) Upgraded? CHECK
4) Developed? CHECK
You claim
"Not to mention full price for a serivce that isnt being developed or upgraded anymore, just maintained. with the rest of the profits going straight to their pockets or right back into the cash shop"
But in reality they just launched update 23.

Here is a tip pal before you go all in on a desperate attempt to bash video game you clearly have no clue on at least try google first.
The MMO's nowadays.. I guess they don't profit enough if you make them equal to everyone. If this was only sub I'd be all over it. Don't know how many others feel the same way but I'm guessing theres a lot.
Need an example about fairness? By just subbing for 6 months you get 3000 points, the latest expansion is 29something. So, sub for 6 months and get the latest expansion for free, pretty sweet deal right?

Kyleran on yours sincerely
'But there are many. You can play them entirely solo, and even offline. Also, you are wrong by default.'
Ikcin in response to yours sincerely debating whether or not single-player offline MMOs exist...
'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.
It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.
It is just huge resource waste....'
