No Man's Sky players looking for some spooky and claustrophobic action can look to today's deployment of The Abyss. Players will gain access to "aquatic environments with over five times more variety, new submersible vehicles, improved underwater visuals and much more". The Dreams of the Deep is a new series of aquatic missions that send players off on a journey of discovery as they track down a stranded freighter and its troubled crew.

What, me worry?
Yes, I got it for $29.99 on a Steam sale when NEXT launched a few months ago.
So NMS has underwater exploration, who knew?
I did notice exosuit modules for sale which extended underwater capacity, but I only recall crossing one significantly spanse of water on the 4 or 5 worlds I've explored so far, none with large bodies of water or even irradiated.
So far all I've explored are toxic, inferno and lush tropical planets.
So much to do, so little time.
I may be playing this game for many years to come, might actually become my first game ever "in rotation."

The animation is the same walking/running animation and does not look like an undersea animation.
There doesn't look to be much more than a generated land mass with water effects/fog lighting.
I am not blaming this developer fro at least trying but we are a very long ways away from pulling off a game like this in HQ form.
At the very least,a minimum of 10+ years before it is possible,like 15+ years.So until that time,we wil just get cheap low quality ideas like this.Yeah it is a start but imo not worth my time ,there is just not enough there to warrant a purchase.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
I have not regretted paying full price for this game and it's been my Go To single player game since the summer.

Brenics ~ Just to point out I do believe Chris Roberts is going down as the man who cheated backers and took down crowdfunding for gaming.
It was really cheap last year, $9.99 or $11.99 something like that. I wish I had bought it then because as of recent, there hasn't been many good sales on it.
It's now 29.99 until Nov 1st.
