Lineage 2 Classic worth playing if I never tried L2?

Do you guys think Lineage 2 Classic is worth playing for someone who never played L2?  Or would it be like jumping into modern EQ for the first time?  Probably not that great an experience without the nostalgia.

    Also, is PvP the entire focus at endgame?

    If you like spending most of your time grinding mobs for xp to level your character then give it try. Their are clans that focus only on the PVE aspect of the game if you choose to go that route but Lineage 2 is mostly a PVP game.

    This. Also a lot of the time the PvE focused clans are doing it to get gear to do PvP. But you can't expect to have much to do in endgame with PvE other than grinding mobs or having a major boss on farm. 

    The game is entirely grinding, and you really have to enjoy that to enjoy the game. If you don't, you will find yourself bored very very quick.

    yes lineage focus is pvp, you lose xp even on pvp death, if you never played l2 you will not like now, too many games out with too many better system, also take note, you need to use your mouse to move on L2, there is no wasd moviment

    There is WASD movement. It's just not very efficient to use. But it's a lot better than it used to be.

    There are no better games out right now that are like Lineage 2.  Sure there are tons of WoW Clone quest games out but those are not like Lineage 2. Only game close to Lineage 2 right now is Black Desert Online and that game is super soft compared to Lineage 2.
