What Internet Browser are you using?

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, but I couldn't exactly see where it'd be best to make it.

Long ago, I switched from using Firefox to Chrome. Lately, I've been having a ton of issues with facebook when chatting, not to mention the high cpu load while having a couple tabs open. The response while chatting/scrolling is so awful and choppy, it makes the experience exhausting every damn time. I tried searching for a solution, but it seems like this is a common complaint by people. So, I've been thinking of trying some other new browser to alleviate my annoyance.

Which brings me to the topic at hand; What are you currently using, and why?

Thanks

I use Chrome and Firefox.  Sometimes I can access sites better with one of them.  Every once in awhile a site will only work with Edge for some reason.

To save memory with chrome I use an addon called Onetab.
    https://www.one-tab.com/

    Overview:

Whenever you find yourself with too many tabs, click the OneTab icon to convert all of your tabs into a list. When you need to access the tabs again, you can either restore them individually or all at once.

When your tabs are in the OneTab list, you will save up to 95% of memory because you will have reduced the number of tabs open in Google Chrome.

Usually Chrome because it works better, generally. For Netflix I use Edge because Chrome only allows 720p streaming (I believe that's still true, haven't heard otherwise).

haha well if you're talking about the TOR Browser, it's built off of Firefox.

I use all browsers for something, except edge... I don't really have a use for it. Chrome is my most preferred.

    Opera

When there are problems of high CPU load or pages locking up, it's usually a problem of rogue ads, and an ad-blocker fixes it.  Cryptocurrency mining ads are especially notorious for this.

Netscape.  It's so old even the malware is out of date.

Not really.  I don't use Facebook so it doesn't matter.

    Firefox for browsing.

    Chrome for transactions.

Brave browser (by the creator of Javascript, using the Chromium engine) when i don't feel like using chrome.

Yandex if i feel like watching porn.

TOR when i wanted more privacy over speed, but i dont have VPNs so i'm not using it much.

I used Opera for a long time, but haven't touched it probably in over a year.

EDIT: and on my phone i use Firefox, Brave and Chromium for different things as well.

I use Chrome and on the rare occasion I.E.
I still use win7 right now, trying to hold off upgrading till i manage to get the money together for a whole new system. But win10 has alot of stuff i do not like about it.
you cannot get rid of MS Edge, you have alot of ad's, you probably get spied on without your consent. You get alot of shitware you dont want and will never use, but you cannot remove it.
Then you get shoddy updates that screws with your system (cough octobers update) you poor sod's.

Yet, one MUST have to upgrade by 2020 since that will be the only OS that will be running.

All Windows do this. W10 is just more upfront about it.

After much contemplation, I'll keep chrome installed but I'll also give opera a try.

I still use Windows 7 on all of my laptops, but wife and daughters all have 10 and I hate having to work with it when I'm resolving some issue they have run into.

What the world needs is a Mod community to make Win 10 more functional.

    Perhaps there already is one?

If it's been over a year since you last used it, you may want to try reinstalling Firefox again too.  They made it run a lot faster with the quantum update.
