just saw this.  I know they were involved with some of the Witcher titles, but not sure how I feel about it..  https://www.gameskinny.com/5uj9s/cdpr-announces-publishing-deal-with-warner-bros-interactive-for-cyberpunk-2077

I'm not an IT Specialist, Game Developer, or Clairvoyant in real life, but like others on here, I play one on the internet.

Lol I didn't even realize that they have been publishing CDPR games since W2. They must have done all right as publishers (neither seen nor heard is best for publishers, IMO) since I didn't even notice them.

I wonder what they mean by WB publishing since TW2. Does that mean physical copies? For both TW2 and TW3 CD Projekt Red is credited as the publisher on GoG and Steam. TW2 also mentions 1C-Softclub, which I've never heard of, as a publisher.

I would like to know their relationship since TW2. Have WB been funding or investing in CDPR games? Is their publishing limited to certain platforms and CDPR self-publishes on Steam and GoG? Maybe WB handles some publishing aspects and not others? Anyway, it's interesting news. Thanks for sharing.
It literally says "distribution" which makes me think physical product but I could be wrong.

Honestly, I'm starting to think 'distribution' doesn't mean the same thing it did say like 10 years ago since a lot of physical sales are being converted to online sales and even if you buy 'physical' editions from some of these companies, they dont even carry the actual game anymore, just the extra goodies. Sad times we live in I think.

I'll be picking the game up on Steam eventually, as i am in the UK though it may well not be the WB version anyway. :/

    R.I.P. Michigan J Frog...

Oh! On topic: As long as WB does nothing to the game, I'm cool :)

Personally the only modern MMORPG trend that annoys me is the idea that MMOs need to be designed in a way to attract people who don't actually like MMOs. Which to me makes about as much sense as someone trying to figure out a way to get vegetarians to eat at their steakhouse.
