To my knowledge there isn't a game that is supposed to be a historical documentary of a real life event. Stop confusing nailing the AESTHETIC of a time period with being historically accurate. Also lets say they make every single game in the "War" category feature ONLY WHITE MEN, then there would still be a slew of things that aren't accurate. So as I said the issue you have even though you say otherwise isn't the inaccuracy of the game. Its the inclusion you feel is being "forced" in the game.
If your issue was "accuracy" or "historical facts", then the unreal weapons, vehicles, lack of disease etc would be bigger issues. But no the issue is usually about a game character being female, lgbt, or black. Those are the things that trigger rwnj yt "gamer bros" .
I just wish people would be honest about it so we can identify and avoid them. I hate when people hide it and act passive aggressive. Just be open about who you really are so we can avoid you.
So really... what is the problem? Why do you and people like yourself hate inclusion so much? Is it because you guys just realized that nerd culture has many type of people participating? Did you think that only straight white men who hate inclusion would be the ones getting jobs in the industry forever? Did you think that the gaming space would stay in representation of YOU forever?
Its like you guys are upset that you have to share something that was never even yours. Nerd culture, video games included, have been loved by people from all races, genders, preferences, walks of life since the start. Inclusion isn't being forced, its just happening. You seem to have a issue with anything that's not like you and that is a bigger issue, much bigger than video games being "Historically Accurate."

Since we are using acronyms, the RWNJ's are upset that the creators of their favorite games don't share their political views. That's what all this is about.

Morons continue and use terms like "SJW" and "fake news" being oblivious to the reality they are setting up for themselves. They're crying about being replaced, and seeing different faces in film and entertainment. That is the LEAST of the problem if the idiocy they're initiating does not stop now.
Specifically to you, I hope you see the irony of invoking "fake news" and who specializes in it while simultaneously making excuses for the same.

It's very telling that I hear that exact argument every time the "Privilege" conversation comes up. As if that's the equalizer. You cant point at anything else in society so its always "but white people are homeless!" I've seen that tone deaf argument a million times.
Homeless people deal with the same structures that are created by society. Racism isn't canceled because you are homeless. Its enhanced even. Stop saying "but white people can be homeless!" as if that erases and resets everything. Poor whites are the ones who owned slaves. Let that sink in.
So yes, even as a homeless white you are still privileged.
There are social and structural issues facing the black community that white folk do not have to deal with. As I said before I rather not talk identity politics here, but I am happy to discuss it on PM.

If the site's wants to discuss politics, they should add a forum for it and moderate every post from other unrelated forums. If this continues, I'd just stop visiting here--the very last gaming forums that I like.

Edit: Frenchie did nothing wrong by bringing that issue to light. That is exactly what they are supposed to do. We need to police our community. If you are too afraid to speak up about it, thats your choice. Dont expect others to act how you act because you dont care or are too afraid to speak up.
When idiots start review bombing games for silly reasons like a female avatar popping up, its time for us to say something. Inform so we can police better, police better to keep idiots out of our community. Yes. Idiots. Review bomb a game over a female avatar being in the game? A VIDEO GAME. That's stupid.

We should always be open to debate and never want to shut it down, but this is where it always ends, I never see people coming to a consensus on political forums, hardly ever does anyone see the other side. Does any poster genuinely think they have learnt anything from this so far? If so good luck to you.
