The Psijic Grand Villa is the first notable home I've actually been interested in using all my saved crowns on, looks like i get to buy other stuff with my crowns. Up to this point I only use inn rooms, but this place is nice.

33%, 66% and 100% of what? Not players who own Summerset since getting the Pathfinder Achievement is not required. Clearly they want people to have a bigger house! (In the hope that they might buy stuff to put in the house I assume.)

Don't worry... it will reach 100% of whatever it is even if they have to fudge it :)

No way they want the PR disaster of everyone almost but not quite getting the Villa.

I think they are getting ready to increase house item amounts for all houses, I also assume there will be a waive of new crown store exclusive furnishing and QoL items as well. Giving a free house will be only the beginning, because next you have to fill it. I actually like house decorating in MMOs that feature it because why not.

Mine will be just as empty as my other houses lol.

The only things I care about are utility items. I have my 6 storage chests, my banker and merchant NPCs and some odds and sods like monster trophies badly arranged.

2 of my guilds have a full set of all crafting stations for all sets you can craft in the game in the guild house so I'm all set for utility.

I found a video tour of the house they're giving away with this event. It's definitely not one of the cheap ones. They sell houses equivalent to this for 12,000 - 15,000 crowns unfurnished (roughly $120 - $150.)

They have never given away something like this on a mass scale. IDK what's gotten into them but I like this new, generous Zenimax :)

If you have your riding speed maxed, use rapids and have Summerset and Arteum wayshrines unlocked, you can literally get this done in less than 10 minutes lol.

And from the "What the hell is wrong with gamers?" department I'll just copy/paste one post from the official discussion thread on the ESO forums about this:

So if we hit the 100% goal..... EVERYONE with summerset that has logged into the game since summerset dropped will get the house for free......

Am I the only one that kinda mad about this? Like Ive been planning on buying that house for months now have already bought the crowns for that house and now just ANYONE WITH SUMMERSET might have that house

What the hell is the point of owning an awesome amazing house if everyone and there mom owns it........

    Just lol.

Yeah I don't know. I have been saving crowns as well and I will just use crowns on other things if it unlocks. The only thing that would be mildly frustrating is if they offered in the crown store as a limited item that ended the same day the event did and it didn't unlock for free lol.

What he doesn't really get is that "everyone and their mom" can buy the crowns just like he/she did.

Glad folks who are left are enjoying it but, lets face it, the only reason this is happening is to stem the tide of people jumping ship, and it's just as much the toxic communities fault as it is the virtue signaling developers fault. My entire guild left for FFXIV, and have no plans to return, Haxus has left as far as I know, Invictus has packed it in as well

But you can't only blame Zenimax, it is Western MMO developers in general that are more concerned with creating allegorical content in the form of shrill boring morality plays, and boosting the ever important cash shop.

Maybe it's just a symptom of Western society sucking in general, every time I visit Japan or South Korea it's harder to come back to this bullshit.
I don't know man, it seems like it's still a pretty popular game that is chugging along as it always has. People come and go in MMOs, nothing new. Marketing is always gonna try to figure out new ways to bring new people in and old people back no mater what game it is.

That's why I always laugh when people say things like "me and my whole guild left", /shrug. Ok so you left and filled the whole in another game that a different guild left lol.

The need to be more special than anyone else in an MMO has been a drag on the genre. Being able to buy that has killed it, only made worse by the fact that you don't even game for it.
Yeah. As messed up as that post is, it is also remarkably honest and representative, I suspect, of a much larger portion of the player base who have the sense to keep those feelings to themselves. Never mind the fact that he's essentially saying that he prefers rare and exclusive cash shop items over included in-game content.

It's not just gaming either. It's a basic human thing that advertising relies on... just look at the designer clothing industry. It's all about being unique and special.

Those without houses have no reason to buy housing items from the store. Solution: pretty much give everyone a free house. And no the room at the inn doesn't count! For anyone without Summerset - expect more to come.

As far as people leaving ESO doesn't have a mandatory sub so people will come and go all the time. How many? No way to know one way or the other as a result of the megaserver tech. Probably safe to say that it has more players after a content drop but other than that - shrug.

Offering free crap that no one really wants isn't going to save ESO.....giving us actual entertaining content with rewards you don't have to buy and fixing their buggy ass engine willl.

The funny thing is there are people leaving Final Fantasy 14 because they are tired of getting the same content over and over again. Plus they are getting less content this expansion than last expansion. So they figure it is not worth the sub. There will always be people leaving MMOs for other mmos. None are exempt.

    And it's a done deal.

If you want the pet, mount and house you just need to have Summerset by Oct. 7th and log in to the game:

In order to be eligible to receive the rewards, you must have logged into the game while owning ESO: Summerset at least once (since its initial launch in June) by Sunday, October 7 at 8:00PM EDT. Note that rewards will be delivered by October 10, and even if you were unable to acquire the Summerset Pathfinder Achievement, as long as you have logged into the game while owning ESO: Summerset by October 7, you will receive the unlocked rewards for free.

It was nice to see people working together on this, even though some folks on NA were charging some folks for ports to Artaeum xD, sorry EU.

One thing to add, mounts with 0 speed is painful. Something that should have taken 15min took an hour.

Charging for a port is pathetic but there are always some players like that.

When I went over to the EU server to do my achievement there, in Summerset zone chat there was another NA player raging because someone got to a chest ahead of him. According to him that "just never happens on the NA server." Way to make a good impression... not :)

And yeah, being slow on the other server was painful.

Same. I wish more MMO's would do this. Rewards are a nice bonus but I love it when a realm/server comes together to achieve a common goal.

The funny thing is I wouldn't be surprised if everything is included in a future expansion to increase sales.
