Will there actually be NPC in this game at all? I was reading their main page and it stated "Everyone you meet is human and your social interactions will drive game play. "  That's cool and all, but in my opinion non-player characters aren't necessarily a bad thing to have in a game, especially a game that will be as big as they state. It would fill some of the emptiness we are bound to experience.

It will go either one of 2 ways
    1) Zero NPC in the game so that it is 100% player driven from the start
    2) NPC at first but then removed after some time so that it will be 100% player
My memory is kinda foggy on this subject but I do know that either way there will be zero NPC in the game

That only works if you have a lot of players (with diverse goals so they play all needed roles) or a really small area. At least that’s my thinking.

There's lots of good innovative ideas out there.

    This isn't one of them.

NPCs provide immersion, they have purpose, and they speak correct English.

I dislike it too.  No npcs means no-content.  Content is hard and costs money, so I see the appeal to make a game with none of it, but its a bummer for those of us who enjoy doing things, or things other than crafting and pvp.

It also means the type of economy I hate - where you have items that degrade and can only delete your items or sell them to other players.  No vendors so you can't even pretend the majority of your grinding wasn't a complete waste of time.
