So it made me feel really old to realise that today was the 10th birthday of arguably the best expansion of this behemouth of a game

Burning crusade was released on the 15th Jan 2007

Does that make you feel old or nostalgic lol :)

Happy birthday BC

This post is all my opinion, but I welcome debate on anything i have put, however, personal slander / name calling belongs in game where of course you're welcome to call me names im often found lounging about in EvE online.

I still have a few characters with two and three letter names before they imposed name length minimums.

I was in junior high school (or whatever is the English equivalent). Heard from one dude that Burning Crusade is coming, and took me weeks to understand what it meant, I had no idea even if I had played RuneScape for years. Bought it myself little later and there went years of my life.

Can't say it was a bad experience, I even found friend(s) and a girlfriend. My social life was otherwise nil, this game allowed me to have even some.

The amount of novelty continues to increase as the child grows into a teen. Between the ages of 15 and 25, there is more freedom and new experiences to explore. There are more ‘firsts’ and these memories are usually densely packed.
Intriguingly, about 13 to 25 years old is the prime demographic for which the baulk of games are made. I guess if everything is a first you can get away with repackaging the same old games as new. :)

Was there day one, still in Uni when it released. Since then I've married the girlfriend from back then who I was raiding with, still belong to the same guild of which I have buried two in that decade. Bought a house, got an amazing job and got two beautiful daughters.

Also saw them ruining arcane mages which made me switch mains after BC and WotLK and realised that I would never have that amount of time to contribute to gaming again. Found peace with that too and now I log in once in a while to realise that I have moved on, the magic never lasts more then two weeks.

    Kyleran on yours sincerely

'But there are many. You can play them entirely solo, and even offline. Also, you are wrong by default.'

Ikcin in response to yours sincerely debating whether or not single-player offline MMOs exist...

'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.

It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.

It is just huge resource waste....'

WoW was my first MMORPG, and it's turning into one of my last!

I think I came on shortly after WoTLK though.

    Best wishes!

    Gut Out!

    What, me worry?
