WTF is Shakes and Fidget?

Has anyone heard of Shakes and Fidget?  It's listed on Steam as an MMORPG and the description claims 50 million players.  Whaaaaaaat?  What is this all about?  It's not even listed on mmorpg.com.

    never heard of it before. A quick google search shows the developer's website is entirely in german. A mobile that was very well hidden in the darkest depths of steam.

    I remember seeing the ads on TV several years back.
    What the commercial showed could only be described as a Simon The Sorcerer kind of humor in a 'Roll the Dice' kind of RPG.

    However I never gave it a try myself.

    I played the free steam game...it was fun for a bit but man was it a slow grind.

    Dude, you are around 9 years to late, to ask that Question for the Game. And around 15 years for the whole "Shakes & Fidget" thing. ;)

    those characters were created, based (ofc) on MMORPGs, Shakes was first a Character for a Web Comic for Star Wars Galaxies, later with the release of World of Warcraft they created Fidget for a "Duo Team".  I think the first time they really went viral was after they hit the cover page of the mad magazine around 2010 and with the start of the web comics.

    they also doing the webcomic "Wood League Warriors" for Riot Games ;)
