Yep - that's what other studios do as well.

Bottom line  - don't give money to piece of shit business like gold sellers/3rd party sites that use stolen accounts and stolen credit cards to run their scam operation.

Good lesson learned for you I hope
i will stop buying from the site and find another reliable site, i think

Er, no, they are not,  though this isn't a new policy for either them or other firms such as CCP who has been removing illegally purchased ISK from accounts for many years.

Heck, Albion Online bans the third party site purchaser's account as some on this site often bemoan, now that is revolutionary.

In case it isn't blatantly obvious to you...

THERE ARE NO LEGAL THIRD PARTY WEBSITES!

The only site that is legal to purchase from is Blizzard itself.  ANYTHING purchased from a third party website is in violation of the ToS and your account can be banned.

The lucky part in all this is that Blizzard is giving you the benefit of the doubt and only assuming you purchased unwittingly from a in game player.  If they discover other items sold through questionable individuals, they will not be so kind, because the evidence will be that you KNEW you were breaking the ToS.

You in fact, did break the ToS.  And have been every time you purchased from that site.  Now that they have looked into your account, they may look into all your characters.  The only reason they can do character restorations is because they keep records of everything.  They just need a reason to look into your account and you just provided it.

If you where buying gold why didn't you use wow tokens ? legit way of getting gold. Maybe gold sellers are doing a better deal than the token but you stand the chance of losing everything.

At least Blizzard doesn't ban a person even those guilty who do (RMT) on a firse offense from the game, but they also understand that sometimes a person may get items without knowledge someone did something they shouldn't have.

Also the reason Blizzard is taking a heavy stance on this is because Gold Sellers back in the day would have to go out and farm the items Blizzard generally didn't investigate as much compared to gold.

But now certain 3rd party sites are buying those "WOW Tokens" using stolen items, then just buying it off the market and selling it to other people, this means that eventually Blizzard gets charged-back and they track the gold back that was earned by gold sellers abusing the (WOW Token) service and eventually it traces back to your items.

Although it's against the EULA to pay any money for in game items (You can pay people outside of the game) for (Their Time) or a friend to just run you through high level dungeons and get you dungeon drops instead although (Blizzard does crack down on this) IT would really look fishy if you party up with the same person over and over again to run a dungeon so you gotta have a professional service that talks to the player and pretends to be a friend you met online or something.

This is the only way to know for sure that Blizzard will likely not remove items for illegal RMT becuase a lot of gold selling sites are just scamming Blizzard using WOW Token the same as in EVE, and Albion Online.

'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.

It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.

It is just huge resource waste....'
