Once again they choose to not tackle the real problems and focus on easy to do ban-wave.
If they didn't intentionally take the easy way out then they need to take a hard look at why people go 'afk, refuse to participate or intentionally die'. The answers are 1. No thinking required in this game due to lack of artifacts and fixed output numbers based on levels makes for boring gameplay because outcomes are predictable. It becomes a math game and who thinks math is fun. 2. Team fights are always the same because of #1. To avoid damage you run around, run away or hide behind something. The 'active' combat isn't really there just distance calculating. Not very exciting IMO 3. No carrying due to the game not having artifacts. 4. Rewards are junk and there's minimal incentive to continue playing your favorite hero cause there are no long term meaningful rewards just a bunch of re-color skins. 5. Some games just go on too long. Not enough reward for 30+ minutes of life. Can play lots of OW matches in the same amount of time.
Good game for a 100% ftp player though. That in itself is IMO another problem cause ftp players usually care less about games they play seeing as they don't have any personal stake($) in the product. Look at Paladins vs Overwatch as an example.
Should never criticise without providing a solution so my solution would be to bite the bullet and add artifacts, add a surrender option, update ancient gfx and maybe just for fun make the camera angle the same as SMITE to see how that changes the game.
The post about people complaining, is about the third ban in drafts that is going to be introduced into the gamemodes unranked/ranked, nothing about player bans.
BruceYee and the author of this "news" post are both a bit ignorant and poorly informed. Like necrolock said, the linked forum posts are about the addition of a 3rd ban, and how THAT will increase drafting time. That has nothing to do with the recent ban wave against toxic players.
As a further comment, I want to point out that BruceYee is quite wrong about every single point he made against hots. It's their opinion to think HotS is a bad game... but some of the reasons provided are simply fabricated.

Everything you list here is why I prefer HotS over other mobas. If you don't like it that's fine but the idea that they should now copypasta even more features from other games to eliminate the few aspects that make this moba slightly different is just wrong.
