So I finally gave this a shot because my friend is a guild leader on one of the PvP servers. I hit the cap, and got pretty geared on the console version and I have to say I'm pretty impressed. It performs at a consistent FPS, I don't ever get FPS drops. The interface is kind of weird to get used to but it is very functional.

The only downside is, they removed a lot of the PvP content from the game for the console release (probably for stability reasons). The arenas are there, and the Kuma battles, but no form of GvG exists, or the Battlegrounds, and I didn't even know they removed forced open world PvP on PvP servers making them pretty much no different than PvE.

There are quite a few players, I wouldn't say it's doing as well as the PC on launch, but it's definitely a refreshing site to see so many people.

I forgot how much I didn't like the PvP itself in Tera though. Sure it's skill based, and actually does require knowledge of who you are fighting, but playing a Berserker, all of my PvP is purely based off of cancelling animations with a block and using I-Frames to not get hit by things. I hate when you have to abuse systems in a game to get skills off faster.

“tried”. I remember the first time I left the Barrens and realized how vast Azeroth was. Or the first time I jumped on my photo drake. Or ambushing my first frigate in Null sec. Or wondering where Minfilia was. Or crafting my first legendary in Tyria. All the while making lasting relationships to share these experiences with. These are moments in games that features and polish cant produce alone. This is the “lightning in a bottle” that most games get wrong, and the reason we try and leave.

A VERY inaccurate statement because you ALREADY bought into  playing those games BEFORE you knew ANYTHING about them.So you bought into those games BEFORE you left Barrens or BEFORE you realized how vast Azeroth was or BEFORE your  first frigate,no like i would suspect MOST gamer's,you jumped on the popular bandwagon at the time.

There is NO magic in a bottle, there are MANY factors that lure in gamer's but the MOST important one, a HQ game is low down on that list of reasons.People are buying into games BEFORE they enter the game...obviously.

Now a correct statement ,would be to say something like ,i STAYED in those games because of some of the nice experiences i had in those games.
As to TERA,i can't stand developers that need to tell us about the NUMBERS,if you can't tell us WHY your game is good and need to point at numbers, then your game is obviously NOT very good.
I played Tera, the initial start is boring and looks cheap, the game plays like a f2p game there is nothing magical in the design of Tera.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

I doubt 2 million people tried the game. Its probably more like 1.8 million pedophiles tried playing little girls in super sexualized outfits, and 200k actually tried the game.

Good for them. Wish them the best of luck. However 'Tried' and 'retained' are two very different things. I'd be interested to know the shape of things in a couple of months.

since it's F2P i'm sure they literally mean it when they said "tried". Only they know how many stayed.

    Typically marketing bullsxxt and misleading.

Ofc, if they had the balls, they would have said " 2KK tried the game and "X" are actually still playing after 10 days".

Tried on PS4 and lasted about 1 hour.  Those controls, ugh.  I played it when it first launched on PC, but left after a month.  Community drove me away.  Decided to try PC again after the PS4 and much better on PC with M&K/B, but hardly saw anyone around the lower zones.

In Velika I found lots of players just standing around and talking about moms and sisters.  I'm sure you can imagine the rest.  Community hasn't changed a bit.  Uninstalled for the last time.

I'm not an IT Specialist, Game Developer, or Clairvoyant in real life, but like others on here, I play one on the internet.

Yeah yeah every game ever made is either:

OMG the game just launched and it's a buggy mess and horrible.

    OR

OMG this game is so over it's so past its prime.

This is the internet we have these days.  A bunch of people who can never be happy and need to let everyone know it.
