Last month Gameforge finally brought Soulworker to western shores. After getting an early glimpse of the game back at Gamescom 2017, I’d been waiting almost a year for another taste of this colorful MMO. Now, with the equally animated Closers already unleashed on the masses, I logged into Soulworker to check out the competition.

You should add Gameforge into "Cons" part.

It needs proper support for ultra wide resolutions the game doesn’t scale properly currently and it kind of kills it for me

I was surprised that this game had no other voice overs other than Korean, once I turned off voices that I couldn't understand the story and game really lost its luster, the music is scarce and the game is just too quiet. This is normally a good thing with lots of voice overs but not when your language is not supported. Hard to get into any story that you have to constantly read and wait for the scenes to progress because of the voice overs.

Did they keep the double sub thing?

The stamina system is terrible, controller support is clunky and poorly implemented, and combat is generally stiff.

For this type of instanced hack and slasher, Vindictus or Dragon's Nest are just better.

having played Vindictus and Dragons Nest I'd say it's about even and depending on your art style preferences. I do like Soulworker better than Closers though because I'm not that hot on side-scrollers, and at least none of the actors sound like petulant whiners (the cop in Closers first zone). Still don't have the focus for any MMO really right now but every now and then I'll check in. They're kicking around the idea of adjusting/removing the Eastern style stamina system (legally required to prevent death at netcafes), so we might see that change.

Not sure whats funnier, you making stuff up or the fact that this sounds plausible enough to possibly be true...
