Trove is something I need to put more time into. I loved the game and they continue to support it extremely well which is awesome.

Agreed. It's always a game I WANT to play more, but then forget I do. I keep telling those fools to get it on my Switch so I can play it at home when I can't get to my desktop easier (PS4 would work, but the Switch's portability means I don't hog the TV).

Try to be excellent to everyone you meet. You never know what someone else has seen or endured.

Is "Vanguardian" a salute or jab to/at Avarem?

It is a nod to Avarem - because they already have a club fixture that's a nod to Frugality (Courtland Idstrom - the co-founder of Trove).

I played this the first year or so the game was out when there were about a dozen classes or so. Not a builder and got tired of going through the same half a dozen dungeons. Sounds like there is lots more content since then. Might have to get back to it.

Has the building side of the game been getting developed much over the last few years. I supported Trove through to release, then I moved on. I think Boundless (formerly Oort Oonline) distracted me. I never see posts about builds in Trove.

There have been some building updates - the last update (Trove Adventures) - introduced Frameworks - which is a pre-build block structure (or parts of structure) you can place in your club world. So stuff like entire trees, or walls, gate, castle towers, corners etc... are examples of frameworks you can just plop down for fast building instead of building block by block.

Adventure update also introduced LED blocks - which blink and can be turned on and off (there are multiple length cycles to LED blocks so you can come up with some fancy stuff). Also LED blocks are transparent so if you put an LED block behind another LED block - the colors will interact and create a new color hue.

Actually the first gif of a Vanguardian I posted has a blinking yellow LED block on top of the building on the left.

There was also an update a long time ago that introduces "drag and build" where you can set a block down and drag to basically build a line up to 20 blocks instead of having to click individually 20 times.

But I think this year is slated to have a "major" building update - possibly after the upcoming Heroes update

Trove is something I was always interested in but never tried, mostly because I've been burned too many times by Trion and don't wish to support them anymore.
