Need help identifying discontinued MMO from Mid 2000's

Jlo1Jlo1 Member UncommonPosts: 22
I remember playing an MMO game in the early to mid 2000s; the game was unique in the sense that all character models for players were women, sort of like Amazons, and were rather scantily clad.  The game ran on a massive grid system, where using WASD would move you from one large square to the next.  The game had 3D graphics which were rather poor even for the time.  One thing that I thought was interesting was that there was a crafting system using ingots of various types, and you could create weapons like a sword or a mace, and depending on the recipe, the weapon model could be like 5x larger than any character model in the game.  If anyone has any idea what I'm talking about please help me out, It's been bothering me for years trying to remember.

    Scarlet Blade?

No, I'm afraid that's not quite it.  The graphics were much more dated than that game, and the game had more of a "western indie" feel.

I'm afraid it isn't on that list, it was certainly much more "obscure" than the vast majority of those games; I would put the graphics on par with the screen shot from the "1999" section, though!

That being said, 2009 was a tough year; shadowbane and Rubies of Eventide closed, two of my all time favorites!

Hmmmm I am really thinking here. Based on your description the most obscure thing I can come up with is Sociolotron the old 18+ game from way back. I had to do some digging to try and find the name of it again and much to my surprise it seems that it is still going. It doesn't fit your description, but you certainly sent me down the rabbit hole of mmorpgs. I will continue thinking.

If you have any more info on how the game played that would be good. Hopefully something will spark a memory.

Not quite it. Even those graphics are a bit too advanced for the game I played. It wasn't really 18+ or sexualized in any other way than the fact the only character model was a female with relatively little clothing on... I remember some of the mobs in the game now... there were a number of Minotaur enemies, one was called a tawny Minotaur. There were also 3 stats you could play with at character creation... one for fighting, one for crafting, and one other I don't remember. The grid was a very important theme in the game. I appreciate your effort though trying to help. I cannot remember if I found the game through this site, or perhaps somewhere else.

I figured it out by plugging in "mmorpg tawny Minotaur" in google! The title of the game was blade mistress. A German video came up for the search with the title of the game! Thank you everyone for your help!
