Pearl Abyss started their official service of Black Desert Online (BDO) on January 17th in Thailand and Southeast Asia. The title is being serviced directly by Pearl Abyss, and the company is cooperating with Level Up Games, a partnered local company, for marketing and management in the region.

The very first launch in South Korea was in December 2014, and now BDO is being serviced in 12 different languages across more than 150 countries and 10 regions, including Japan, Russia, NA, EU, and Taiwan. The number of registrations exceeded 3 million in NA and EU, and the title was nominated as the best MMORPG for the years of 2016 and 2017 by MMORPG.com. The title is also planned to launch on mobile and console as well.

Good to see the game still going.

Is there any mmo other than World Of Warcraft that has expanded as much as Black Desert Online on a global scale?

From a business perspective the primary market regions for MMOs are - NA/EU, Brazil, Russia, Japan, SEA, Australia, China

Are there any western mmos other than WoW available in all of these regions?
