Crowfall is the best looking upcoming western mmo. Looks like it will be launching in 2018.

I like the overall aesthetics, the crisp stylized graphics and the animations. Looks like it's gonna be a fun game. Must do some more research on this.

This has genuinely sparked my interest in Crowfall. The idea of playing a crafter/gatherer in a PvP game is always appealing to me. It also seems like they've made some significant progress on the game, so I'm willing to take a bit of a risk on it. Thanks for sharing!

I disagree, the graphics sometimes look ok but sometimes remind me of Wow.Example rocks look fake

The idea this game never let's out is your exact goal as a player, they sort of give you all these ideas, like craft, class ideas, player towns, building etc etc,but never really why.

The problem i have with so many modern era games is i see ideas that ruin immersion completely or just look totally NOT plausible to fake.Example somersaults or in this case seeing that warrior or whatever he was firing spammy fireballs from an AXE looks totally WRONG.

This is what all these games do to me,i am like every minute or so turned off by something that just looks like bad design or out of place. So i usually play for a day or two and by that time, have so many design ideas turn me off i can't wait to delete the game and that is how i feel with Crowfall.

I do not believe that this game will be complete enough at 2018. Too complex, too much bugs to handle, not even to mention cheaters, since that is player driven economy, there will be a lot of attempts to abuse the system and ruin fun to honest players.

I love the visuals in this game, but the focus on PvP is the easiest way to excuse themselves from making enough PvE content. So i will let reviewers judge it after launch then decide if it's what i want.

Why would you play a blatantly pvp focused game for pve content?

It may be surprising to some folks, but in a player-driven economy where there are no NPCs dropping weapons/armor, unless someone gathers/crafts, no one can fight. Someone has to keep the war machine moving ...

I did the same thing in EVE Online as a Miner/Manufacturing/Research specialist, as did many others.

People will fight, just with basic starter equipment that everyone can make. But that will inevitable spawn a crafting arms race so people can out-compete their enemies.

Which is my favorite part of being a crafter/gatherer in a PvP game with a player-driven economy. >:D

Been keeping eye on this one since they announced. Looks like it will be 'crafters are kings' game, which has not happened since SWG I think. I think those who enjoyed crafting there will enjoy Crowfall as well. After all Raph is consultant for the team.

I just read on the site that you can access the 24/7 LIVE test server with the cheapest package ($49.99), and reading their forums suggests you can actually fight, take forts, and harvest to some extent. Very tempting!

    Two things
    1) by the time this game launches it will look and feel old anyway
    2) there is a special place in hell for people that have to put wow and eve online in every mmorpg conversation. You play wow since vanilla and eve online is the best sandbox pvp mmo. no one gives a sh!t though.

Just keep in mind there isn't much of a population.  You can functionally play the game right now in what most would consider to be nearly Beta-Quality state, just keep in mind people like me who invested/backed the game have kinda left is alone to brew into its next iteration before diving back in, particularly since we know nothing will carry over.

'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.

It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.

It is just huge resource waste....'

I might give you the second one but there is nothing like Crowfall out there OR being developed that I know of. The game is progressing at a very rapid pace and the graphics have already recieved a massive update. Nothing about Crowfall will look or feel old when it launches, which I think/hope will happen in the next 16 or so months.
