¯\_(ツ)_/¯
couldnt said better myself
It's a problem with the entire genre, but Diablo 3 suffers particularly badly for this. New content is so rare. Hell, Path of Exile, for all of its rough edges, has more content in its first half than Diablo 3 has in total.
I still play it now and then mainly because it is so easy to jump back into and have instant access to fun.
The Tristram event was a fun nostalgic trip the first run, and I only played it again in coop with friends.
So even with all of the above in mind I'm also going to say, "Meh".
Agree 100%. I loved D3 for a good while but it became pointless. Remake D1 or do something--anything--to give us hope for D4, cause there ain't much right now.
Its still Diablo guys

'But there are many. You can play them entirely solo, and even offline. Also, you are wrong by default.'
Ikcin in response to yours sincerely debating whether or not single-player offline MMOs exist...
'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.
It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.
It is just huge resource waste....'
