These devs have shown time and time again that they just don't get it. Adding pof elite specs in the middle of season 8 and the powercreep combined with brainless class mechanics have reduced this once great pvp game pre HoT into a mindless spam fest with aoe's flying around everywhere. I miss the old days of having positional requirements for thief backstab that took skill to land for example. They have great feedback from the players they just refuse to listen to a lot of things or either overcompensate and nerf things into oblivion to the point that it's unplayable.

PvP stopped being relevant to me when they removed all defensive amulets.

Some of us don't want to play glass cannon. But fuck us, right?

Uh... there are and always have been bunker builds. Firebrand bunker is ridiculously strong right now.

Serious though, this is all just lip service. They have entire weapon sets and utilities that aren't even touched... they have literally not made them viable FOR YEARS.

Don't count on them changing much, it is too much work amd they are stretched too thin with their resources, as the last "balance" update proves.

I actually made a tanky DPS build for my thief that works good in both WvW and PvE. It's actually funny because of the tankyness and the mobility I watch everyone else melt around me and in most cases I'm the last man standing. I think it confuses other players who play thief because they rarely ever can take me down unless I get clumsy and overwhelmed by their friends.

This is true. There are so many examples of this. All rifles. Most signets. Guadian staff and spirit weapons. Warrior axe (though it has gotten recent buffs). Engineer rifle, non-kit utilities, and entire Scrapper line. Thief venoms and traps. Ranger traps. Etc. Etc. This game's rate of weapon and utility viability is pitiful, and honestly makes me laugh at the people who criticize Guild Wars 1's build system for being poorly balanced.

Sure there're some weapons/utilities that need some love, but you talked about a lot of stuff that is used xD
All rifles- Power holosmith use rifle in Pve and PvP. Deadeye use rifle too, but it's mostly stuff like PvP and WvW.
Guardian staff is used in PvP for support builds. The spirits weapons aren't used a lot, but they have some use, even if fairly marginal/situational.
Warrior's Axe is pretty much a PvP weapon, but got recently overshadowed by dagger of the spellbreaker.
Already talked about the engi rifle...and power holo doesn't use many kits. Probably with the new increase in sword DPS we may see it used over bomb kit too. For the Scrapper line and it's utilities they're used plenty in PvP... don't know how you can tell that they're not used.
Thief venoms are used by condi builds in PvP, PvE and WvW, but yeah...traps are kinda meh and too situational. Seen them only once in a build.
Ranger traps are used quite a bit by condi rangers...so don't know how you can tell that :|

If you want to mark "useless skills/weapons" then we could talk about something like Necro's focus, most ele's cantrips, warrior's physical skills, engi's turrets, memer's manipulations (beside blink) and so on...but most stuff is simply situational and while it's good in a mode...it won't be in another, but that doesn't mean that something is "useless" because it's not optimal in every single mode.

    Indeed.
They can stay in Scourge AoE for 5 additional seconds before they melt.
    I know.
    I roll a Scourge.
    Bunker much........

Captain's Log, Stardate 41235.25. Anet still suck at balancing. They should surrender.

Scourge is completely broken right now. How they avoided a nerf in PVP is beyond my comprehension.

They don't seams to see the balance issue, example Take an elite boss say a dijen and kill it with the top dps necro condi build . Then take the same boss and try to kill it with the top necro power build, their a huge difference in dps or time to kill.

For years now that difference has only gotten better for the condi builds.

Look at meta battle all classes rated 100 and most all of them are condi based.

The real issue is pow builds have gone the way of playable bird races :).

Since we have dps meters now it should be easy for them to see that pow builds are over all lagging way behind.

Several of the top solo player I know with condi can solo keep lords even fire. And they will tell you its not possible with any pow build.

If you read the class forums if you don't go condi in your elite spec, you're useless. There are still some folks who try hybrid builds but condi is the norm.

That was so stupid...i gave up on the game since i like dungeons and devs in this game has no clue what a dungeon is or how its run...there was fire and traps every where i walked..random huge dps killlet me over and over...wha a shit road game.

I've soloed that dungeon on almost every class except elementalist. L2P.
And besides thats a group story mode dungeon. Should have gone in with a group before entering if it was your first time.

This has to be the most baffling, asinine review of the game yet.
