You may be thinking that because I asked whether or not Destiny 2 was a mistake that I don’t like the game. On the contrary, amid the sheer chaos that is this year’s game release schedule, Destiny 2 is one of a few I keep coming back to time and again. Finally on the PC, Bungie’s Sci-Fantasy MMO-like shooter is something special. Not without its faults, Destiny 2 feels right at home on the PC and the future's looking bright. This is our Destiny 2 PC review.

Leveling was quite fun. After that.. played 1 hour and I was bored out of my mind. Wanted a refund, but sadly once you are past level 7 you can't get one, so yeah....

Btw you should add in the Pros their exceptional support, oh wait they don't have such an option at all...
First time I play a game which doesn't have any way to contact support other than to open a thread on their forums and pray that someone bothers with your pathetic issues.. like c'mon they already took your money what more do you want from them, right?

OK, I'll be that guy. I'm loving this game. Easy to pop-in and do some content if I have 20 mins. or hours of time to play. Never played the first one because I dropped consoles and just do PC games but I was able to pickup the Destiny 1, story and history on Youtube. Love the music. Don't have to use the cash shop.

I use an android app called Ishtar Commander that lets me view and manage all characters and vaults inventory while playing the game to make sure good gear transfers to the right character.

I also like games such as The Division and Homefront: The Revolution so this fits right in with the type of games I play.

All of Destiny 2's problems are at the end game.

It's like an MMO in essence, but without the real carrot to keep going. The loot/reward system only gets more and more frustrating, and it's just...

Destiny 1 put so many quality of life/good features and systems in place over its life cycle. Destiny 2 seems to have thrown a lot of those improvements out the window, which is odd.

For everything Destiny 2 does better than Destiny 1, there is something else it does worse.

It's frustrating, but at the same time - lots of other good games to play right now.

Only a month until more content and (hopefully) more tweaks from the live team to bring it closer to the good vibe Destiny 1 had going towards the end.

Also, 4K patch incoming with Osiris in December, so yay!

This is a game that I play for fun. Not for the loot though I hope to get better loot or for carrot to chase. I play to kill things in a setting I like and with skills I enjoy. My favorite thing to do is the walker public event where I get a limited time infinite rockets rocket launcher. I just love doing that and in between I can just go and kill things or hunt out high value targets. None of it is really for a purpose of getting something out of it. Fun is fun and I read enough things now that I think fun is not what people want but some reason to have to play.

I'd disagree on the loot on the opposite side of the spectrum. If I were to say anything negative about the loot system, it's that it's all very anti-climactic. I love the idea of continuous progression and always getting better loot, but actually getting that loot just isn't all that exciting since it happens so frequently. So I think that what they suffer from more than anything now is that they give away the carrot constantly. You can hit max level without even EVER doing any end game raids or dungeons. It's the ultimate casual.

Well after about 80 hours in warframe I can say with 100% confidence that it blows destiny and d2 out of the water in every department that matters. Just a heads up for those not totally happy with destiny. <3

Ok no offense but I'm calling BS here. Two hours? If true which I doubt that's your fault for not trying the free beta. You see this a lot these days. Someone jumping onto a forum claiming they put in an hour two hours or whatever and claiming the game sucks or it's boring.  It's very hard today to make that conclusion without showing your bias or agenda.

Nothing wrong with not liking a game but try and keep your obvious bias agenda out of it.

I actually did play the beta and "somewhat" enjoyed it. I'm not even sure why i bought it, I was very "meh" about the game. To be honest im not sure if your questioning whether i actually own the game or just making a case that im a fool for buying a game i didnt enjoy.... If its the latter i'll agree with you. Regardless i find the game boring extremely boring, Thats a FACT and my opinion.

@thunderC I am not questioning if you played or owned the game. I just stating it's my opinion anytime someone says they played maybe 10% of the actual game I question if that person had a predetermined bias or agenda.

Two hours doesn't even get you to the 2nd area or the ability to play with other people which is where the game is best .

No i made it to the area where you play with other people, , Maybe 2 hours was a exaggeration, iv probably put in three maybe 4??? I dont know and does it really matter. As far as bias or agenda, Im not even sure what that means lol  Im not going to invest anymore of my OWN TIME playing destiny just to prove to you or anyone else that i dont have a bias. You can call me a idiot for buying the game but to refuse to acknowledge my opinion of the game based on play time is idiotic. I find the game boring, thats all there is to it. If you are having fun great, don't get all bent out of shape because i dislike the game.

Maybe the game starts to get amazing after the 10th or 11th hour of playtime, Unfortunately i can bring myself to actually get the far

So where did it fall short for you compared to other semi-bullet sponge FPS? I'm not questioning that it didn't click for you or the validity of you opinion, but I do find it surprising given how the shooting and guns work amongst its peers.

The gun play rivals most arena or map based team shooters. It's super realistic shooting and physics like R6:Siege or BF1, but there are 1 and 2 hit headshots, weaker enemies die to fewer hits while bosses have shields and armour to wear down first. There are varied tactics and reasons to use every kind of gun and type (kinetic, energy, power). Cover matters. It's fast and fluid much like a Quake game, but not that crazy frenetic.

I can understand it not being a favorite but boring to the point where you wished for a refund did surprise me.
The only 2 fps games im currently playing and enjoying are Rising Storm 2 Vietnam (Great vietnam era shooter) and Borderlands 2

Why do i feel like im being put on trial for simply not liking destiny 2 lol

Am i the only person here who has ever put a few hours into a game and simply not liked it?

The amount of people not having their own opinions these days are staggering!, stop getting all your opinions from your favorite streamers & youtube reviewers. this game is not a MMO, it's more like a borderlands game, and it will content vise grow. no it's not a game for hardcore MMORPG players and it will never try to be, it have some faults and i guess we will just have to give Bungie some time to try and fix it. People who have never played and or is not interested in the type of game D2 is, why are you flaming here ?, go play something you like.

"If you didn’t play Destiny 1, the big problem with Destiny 2 is that you’re not going to have much of an idea what’s going on or who the characters are."
You nailed it. This is something that was inadequately explained and I have no intention of going outside the game to research one I can't play. The plot was incomprehensible and most of the characters were meaningless. I got a few chuckles out of the Failsafe stuff and enjoyed the Cayde things (because I find Fillion funny despite the fact that I wasn't "in" on the jokes due to the lack of my history with the character). Basically, there's just some giant round spaceship called The Traveler for no apparent reason. And the bad guys got it. Or something like that. My light is gone? Guess I need new batteries. Whatever, back to the shootin'.

Got boring quiet quickly after finishing the story. It really felt like an expansion and not a new game.
The zones are uninteresting, same old enemies...

I've seen some plaints about D2 and I can understand why.  A Guardian gets his light back and they are surprised but no one asks how he did it and he doesn't say, hey, just go this spot and get yours back also.

Most games (SWL) have me going outside the game for information so extra research is not a problem for me and it's nice to have a fill-in on the story as short as it is.  I'd do the same with ME if I haven't played the first one or it was console only for the first one.

Yep, nothing wrong with saying a game is not for you.  One size does not fit all.

I found the game a lot of fun when I was making progress. Then I got all 3 classes to that gear wall where you only increase on weekly resets. After one night I'm left with nothing to do because 100% of the loot that drops from strikes, events, vendors, and lost sectors is useless.

I said I'm not criticizing your choice. It's a discussion forum. You called the game extremely boring which I found odd so I asked why you thought that and then explained why I think it's at least on par with every other major shooter in its category. You don't have to agree.

If you make comments like "It's extremely boring" with no explanation on a game discussion forum expect people who don't share the opinion to engage with you. I don't know how I could have phrased the question in any softer, safer, or more respectful manner.
I found the enemies to be incredibly dull in both appearance ,repetitiveness & difficulty the whole loot & gear system feels like a copy paste from destiny 1 and the  enviroment i was in felt very restrictive and on rails (Rat in a maze from hub to hub feel. Now maybe all this changes past the 10th or 11th hour but unfortunately Im bored to tears and have no desire wasting 6 hours of my day to find out "if the game gets good"
