Destiny 2 News - If you're a PC player and have been anxiously awaiting the release of Destiny 2, your time is nearly at hand. The BattleNet launcher has been updated so that you can preload the game starting today in preparation for the October 24th release date. The client weighs in at about 38Gb, but servers seem to be moving along at a good clip.

That certainly would be better than this console port shit.

I just thought it was relevant even though Activision guarantees it isn't being used in this title. We can trust them.
You'll be paying for a game that has MUCH less content than the first, They removed almost everything they added to the series seemingly to sell it all back to us once again. I was hoping it was going to be a sequel that built upon what they learned from in the first game. I was so so wrong...It's literally a weaker game than vanilla Destiny 1...
Anyways that's my 2 cents. So unless you just HAVE TO HAVE it on PC, Don't give these assholes a dime until they come out with a roadmap saying where they're taking the game, at least. This sequel was extremely lazy for a studio and publisher as big as Bungie and Activision.
Monster Hunter since '04!

Soon you'll be conditioned to clicking those loot box "buy now" buttons, before you know it!
I don't know any of my gamer friends that buys so saying masses makes no sense maybe some.
Win - win for me. Shame for all the rest that couldn't take advantage of it.
Game runs like a beast and controls like a dream, can't wait to play.

Kyleran on yours sincerely

'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.
It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.
It is just huge resource waste....'

You didn't play destiny 1. It also looked fun. We are all guilty of our expectations. I hope you find what you are after mate
no matter how good it looks, in it's base, it's just a console port. and we have seen all that before =(

Was hyped till beta
That's how I feel. The core is great, but I they've done the same thing they did with D1 with shallow content just so it can be sold as DLC later and this was confirmed after seeing the console version.
Many have said they built D1 up to where it was meant to be by the last DLC then stripped it all out again and shunned those that stuck with them in D2.
The hype before release was absolutely massive - and the game itself was severely underwhelming to me, especially in terms of the singleplayer campaign.
D2 looks better - but not that much.
It could be a fantastic game with 2-3 times the content - but, as you say, that's not in the cards.
I tend to tire of the core gameplay in most games way before the first expansion or significant DLC - so I don't expect to play this beyond the initial release.
Then again, there are so many great games coming out these days that I don't really mind.
But it's definitely sad that Activision can't go beyond thinking like a fat suit chewing endlessly on a cigar instead of serving the consumer - on occasion.
