imageReady for KR CBT 2? Maybe with Recent Class Reveals - Lost Ark News

2p.com has an interesting article about three new classes and other changes coming to the second round of closed beta testing in Korea. The three classes coming with CBT 2 are Destroyer, Arcana and Summoner. These three come along with big improvements to character animations, monster death animations and balance tweaks to existing classes to make them feel more unique. Lastly, the quest system has been overhauled with some being removed and other modified to fit better.

Looks awesome, but let me guess this game uses "Game Guard" or "XingCode" Rootkits right?

If it doesn't I will check it out.

If they want to be successful in the west they need more than improvements and fixes because the core game concept (mmo/arpg hybrid) has not done well in any of the half dozen or so Korean mmo/arpg hybrids so far.

Western gamers like ARPGs with deep skill character building (like PoE, Grim Dawn) as well as great gear variety to support lots of different builds.

This is what Lost Ark lacks - sure it has some build options but its still a set class game with linear MMO gear progession - this is the same limitaton that other MMO-ARPGs from korea have and the main reason why they have such limited appeal in the west.

Now even in Korea Lost Ark CBT1 had a luke warm reception, so I hope CBT2 lives up to high expectations everyone has from Smilegate to deliver a truly awesome game.

in the west lol. Its a korean game for koreans it might be ported to the west as an after thought for a cash grab 4 years after the korean release. Sorry its a little irritating to get game news on games on what is clearly a site designed for western audiences that are releasing the in the east with no concrete info they will ever come west.

am I jealous? mad? all the above the west makes great mechanics the east makes great visuals and combat noone gets both together.

    Pretty much this!
It will be really disappointing to wait for a game for years only to have a "meh" reaction once you are actually playing it.

@mmrv Indeed what you say is pretty accurate east = visuals, west = gameplay. Truth be told I would always choose gameplay over visuals, but I definitely wouldn't mind if there was 1 game out there that covered both this requirements :P
