In October of last year, we had the chance to go hands on with Steelseries’ Rival 500, a neat little MMO/MOBA mouse that won us over from our number pad MMO mouse. This week, Steelseries reached out to see if we would take a look at the next mouse in the Rival line-up, the Rival 700. There are fewer buttons but more modularity, and a unique OLED screen to give the edge for the customization happy consumer. Does it fit the bill? Let’s see.

I was rather hoping all the talk of modular meant it could be configured for left hand use, but one look at the pics, and that's obviously not the case. Way to fail 15% of the gamers.
Lost my mind, now trying to lose yours...
And Way to please 85% of the other gamers.....Its Business bro...lol
you could just idk, learn to use your right hand.

Someone who wasn't tech/google savvy would have basically purchased an unusable mouse. I put more hours into diagnosing and solving the issues than the mouse itself was worth.
Now that it's FINALLY working 99% of the time, I really like it, but I would honestly never recommend this mouse to anyone, and this is coming from someone who said if you buy non-steelseries in the past you were being silly.
They arent going to gimp thier mouse to satisfy 15% of gamers when they can get ir right for 85%, thats just how the cookie crumbles im afraid
Look what this country is coming to... Indians are allowed casinos; witches have shop;, satanists get statues; and the Irish are allowed to have parades. Now, even the lefties want to be allowed to have special things!!! What we need is the Spanish Inquisition... Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!!!'
Jk, seriously 85% is gonna win the business Everytime.

There are sadly only few (gaming) mice available for the left handed. My mother is left handed and she made me aware of the issue that almost everything (even daily usage stuff) is right handed.
My brother had the Razer Boomslang years(decades?) ago (when Razer was just a small company) so I figured they'd still have left & right handed mice and indeed -> https://www.razerzone.com/gaming-mice/razer-orochi
The ONLY reason i found over the years for an expensive mouse was if playing a first person shooter that is very intense and needing very high dps and just overall high end gear.Luckily or maybe not so lucky,is that no such game exists right now,so expensive mice are not needed. However i do wish such a game was out there, perhaps Quake or the new Unreal could offer the need but i am not much liking either game.
I should make note that my favorite mouse of all time for fps gaming was when we had a real middle button and not these crappy scroll wheels. That is all i ever wanted/needed,a 3 button mouse with 3 real buttons.I do not like having to move my fingers around,it causes mistakes,so too many side buttons and stuff is just causing more problems.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

Uhhh, you obviously havent been playing CS:GO.
I've been left handed all my life. Deal with it and learn to use a mouse right handed.

Best mouse IMO
Can change out Micro-swittches when they go bad easily if every mouse started following this + Provided easy battery swaps and replacements for both Microswitch & Battery would be great.
