Setting up a DVD-ROM.

It comes down to this.
I was thinking of buying a DVD-ROM, since only Final Fantasy XI runs on it. '
Anyway, I looked at newegg, and found one for $21.00
Problem is, I already have a CD-ROM that I don't know how to get removed (Model of CPU: Dimension 3000) And I don't even know how to instert a DVD-ROM.
I came here looking for any help.
So.... please help?

Zep, installing a new DVD drive is actually VERY easy, especially if you are going to replace an existing CD drive with it. Your new DVD drive will come with instructions on how to do this. Dell computers are easy to access and open up... Just be sure that you turn off your computer and unplug it before opening it up! Also be sure you don't fool around and touch any of the circuit boards inside as static electricity could short out an important card! It probably is easier then you think to install though.
