If there was going to be a price drop, it would have done dropped by now. The 1080Ti was what everyone wearing green was holding their breath for (apart from Volta), and that's here now. The nVidia folks aren't really too worried about Vega (they always mutter something about AMD drivers), and Volta is the only other thing down the pipe that will significantly affect pricing.

There may be a small adjustment in price when Vega hits, but I honestly think that nVidia will be ready to roll with Volta not long after Vega... so yeah, prices may drop just before the next generation rolls out and they are out of production anyway.

Have to wait and see.  If Vega is competitive, Nvidia will have no choice, but to lower prices.  And with DX-12 starting to show up in games, Nvidia's problems with that will make AMD look even better.

Nah, nVidia may lower a bit, but historically they have always charged some premium over what the competition has and haven't undercut. We used to joke about it around here and called it the nVidia tax.
