Minecraft News - The Minecraft Marketplace is coming soon to the game with the Discovery Update (v1.1) later this spring. The idea is to allow community creations to be sold within the game itself. The shop items will be curated by the Minecraft team and sold through the Marketplace. Creators will be able to "make a living from the game, allowing them to support themselves in the creation of future projects".

    If this is simply a tactic to generate more money for themselves,then VERY lame.
    If this is strictly between players,then it is ok.

    If they are cashing in on it,then they have no business at all,claiming it is for the gamer.

    Most Minecrafters have grown up and moved on to better games. This appears to be a way to try to milk a little more out of a dying game...

    I play modded ocasionally (spelling?) with a couple of friends, but not much anymore.
