I got a character to cp 254 and i just can't play it anymore. I just got so bored and didn't even login to it for almost a month. Morrowind doesn't make me want to play it either. And i loved the single player game.
If this game had quality of character art and animation of BDO - or anywhere near it (i.e. Tera quality) - I'd be with them for a long time already. I guess this time I'll uninstall the game 20-30 min later like it happened during my previous 3 attempts to like it.
My baby thinks flashing lights are quality animation also.
You can be as ignorant as you like, but that still doesn't make 3dom wrong.
Don't be too hard on us ESO fans. We've been petitioning ZoS for a blurry washed out distance and massive pop-in for a while now. They just aren't listening. :chuffed:
I'm pretty sure he meant the character models and their animations which you cannot argue as being bad. I agree the rest of it is hard to look at though.
Someone absolutely can argue it. I think the characters and animations in ESO are fine.
I also think that people reduce the debate down to "the characters and animations" because they don't have a whole lot else to work with, and are scraping the bottom of the barrel, grasping for anything they can to criticize, for no other reason than "it's not their preferred game".

oh goshes, if you want flashing lights animations, just play ROBLOX with my son, he plays games on there with strobe lights on crack X 100 .... I warn him about it but he insists it doesn't bother him.

ive seen worse...there is a lot to like and the slightly stylized look makes it more aging prove...and honestly ive hardly ever seen an mmo that runs so well with so much happening on the screen....in mass battles with 30+ people on the screen and particle effects everywhere my old gtx 670 drops on nearly ultra setting hardly ever below 50 fps
I think they do this to not get overlooked in all the recent news about endless trial for FFIV(lvl35) and Secret World going F2P.
Or... it's just part of their Anniversary event, and it has nothing to do with "being overshadowed".
ESO is doing just fine, FFXIV/TSW or no.
People are demonstrably *far* more excited for 'Morrowind' than they are for Stormblood.
It's not being overshadowed by FFXIV going F2P-Lite, which is just the first step in an eventual move to full B2P or F2P. Anyone paying attention to the big picture with FFXIV over the past several months could have predicted something like this. I was expecting full F2P/B2P, but it seems they're following Blizzard's lead (which, really, I should have expected as well) by taking a half-step in that direction.
It's sure as hell not being over-shadowed by anything to do with TSW. I personally love(d) TSW, so that's not me "bashing" the game. It's me seeing Funcom's move for what it is and being honest about it. This is just an attempt by Funcom to make TSW appeal to a lower common denominator.
ESO's problem for me, the lack of skill use keys. You have all these skills and yet only can use a subset of them because of the weak UI. I play it for a while and then need some skill that is not on the bar and just get frustrated.
Not the best MMO I have ever played by a longshot.
I personally prefer the look of ESO over that of BDO with the latter being too flashy for my tastes from what I've seen on videos. Though I like the look of ESO there are many other reasons I play and enjoy the game. I haven't tried BDO and just their website alone didn't encourage me too with the way it was designed.

I know what you mean about the limited skill bar. I use middle mouse button to swap bars so I can switch bars quickly, but it can be a bit of a pain to pull out a skill not currently on any bar. Although I think there is a UI mod that lets you set up custom skill bars that you can swap to with a hotkey; don't think it works in combat though.

This is one of my issues is the PC UI just outright sucks. Still love the game though. Anyways, the way to beat the crappy UI - use a mouse or keyboard and set up macros. I use both and have access to all my skills now at the push of a button. Makes playing the game a whole lot easier and fun - frustration level dropped to zero.
Me and a friend are trying it , started of sceptical but damn, we are having a blast right now. Only thing I'd like is some mods to fix minor UI annoyances.
